i had this setup for couple of our office addresses like for 10 years and was paying $19/yr and as the plan is about to expire they sent me reminder that i should renew it... at $119/yr

one'd say why the fuck i was paying even those $19/yr. Well, too lazy to fuck with that and also wanted a different email server because we did have occasional problems with server-side (Servint) email

Any cheaper alternative (I guess plenty, if not all lol)? Anyone using Namecheap's email hosting?

Digital Ocean droplet @ $5 per month + CPanel VPS License if you need it @ $14 per month. $19 per month, plenty of email accounts, several domains and you have complete control.

i initiated domain transfer to namecheap (*), where the bulk of our domains already are and will test their hosted email that starts from $10/yr with free 2 month trial

* this goes in line with (new?) goddady's slogan, which is "It's Go Time"

We are transferring sites from godaddy to namecheap.

Seriously, 27 for a renewal instead of 9$!
