The Ukrainian Army appears to have fired cluster munitions, a weapon banned in much of the world, into the heart of Donetsk, according to physical evidence and interviews with witnesses and victims.

Up to 40 9M22S rockets can be fired in approximately 20 seconds by the 9K51(aka BM-21 ) "Grad" Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS). Ignited at the point of ejection, the 180 hexagonal-shaped shells packed into the rocket's 9N510 warhead each contain a thermite-like substance and burn furiously as they plummet to the ground.

Although the elements are small — 1.02 x 1.65 inches or 2.6 x 4.2cm — they reach a blazing temperature. Most thermite compositions ignite at temperatures in excess of 3,992 degrees Fahrenheit (2,200 degrees Celsius). The heat is sufficient to reduce the outer ML-5 magnesium alloy casing to ash.

Also using bombs against civilians is not proved as there is no evidence that they have used those against civilians. It's totally different thing to bomb military targets in cities. Although area bombs are not famous for "less civilian casualties".


EDIT: Okay, there was few injured/ dead in that one video. Whoever did that. Maybe Russians? Don't matter to me who did that. As Russians do war in Ukraine, rebels do war in there, as does Ukraine army too. There are casualties in war. If Russians would back up from foreign soil, there would be less casualties.

There is substantial proof about Russian troops in Ukraine, maybe you should read other than Russian media. It has been proved months ago.

By the way, cluster bombs are not banned. There is treaty about them, but it concerns only those countries those have signed it. For example Russia hasn't, neither Ukraine.
