Awesome documentary Descendents / ALL

Filmage: The Story of Descendents/All (2013) - IMDb

I've been a fan for over 30 years and have also had the pleasure of seeing many of their concerts and actually hanging out with a few of the guys here in Austin.

Even if you have just a passing interest in old school punk rock, it's a great documentary.

Holy shit that would have ruled. My first time was the late 80s after they became ALL. When they re-formed in the mid 90s as the Descendents when Milo came back to make an album I saw them in LA a bunch of times.

They played around here when they were ALL but I never went to those shows, kinda regret that now. I was way into punk back then though I saw Black Flag three times, and one of my friends had a band that opened for Minor Threat. During one show Henry Rollins gave me shit for being too violent in the mosh pit.

Bad Brains were awesome. I saw them at the long closed The New Ritz club in NYC with Leeway opening for them in 1989 on The Quickness tour.

The last time I saw Bad Brains was on the Quickness tour, I think that is when I saw them playing with Corrosion of Conformity at the Roxy in Atlanta. I got pictures from that show buried somewhere I need to find them, I also have pics from the first time in 1986.

My favorite Brains shows was their tour with Flipper. Saw em at a strip club. Strip club would close when they had bands...but sound checks were fun.

Descendants were/are one of the best. I need to see that doc. Thanks for the tip.
