Business Pros: What would you do with the domain name OldDating.com and wanted to make 4-5 figures a month?

If you had that domain name OldDating.com laying around sitting there doing nothing, what would a smart business person do?
1. Make it a Rated PG dating site for mature people like SeniorFriendFinder, OurTime, etc? Proote it on facebook, twitter etc like I see OurTime all the time.
2. Become an affiliate of one of those sites and promote the shit out of it?
3. Buy an affiliate software like elevatedx.com, buy lots of mature porn and just promote the hell out of if
4. Other?

Was digging through some old domains and saw I had a similar good domain to that and thought I'd do something with that. Its a waste to just sit there whe I have time to devote to it.

ps - This is if youre hungry so theres no time limit, no work limit, no shortcuts at all. You could spend 16 hours a day working the plan. whatever it takes to get the most money out of it

Not long ago tried to make 7-8 figures on something that seemed to make sense and spent a year interviewing potential clients who loved the idea, and I lost my life savings when i built it and no one came. I fell into a 3 year depression after and I'll never do it again.
I got to know Lexapro and Lorazepam way too well.

So I'll be happy with 4-5 figures a month and a nice little life. More realistic for me

Yeah its definitely a great niche. Everyone gets older so its on everyones mins, not everyone wants to date a 20yo, theres a LOT of men who like old women

well, you obviously have to keep it mainstream to gain the organic, but based on what i can see, the traffic is there, just a matter of conversions which is based on the quality of the site.

No question olderdating.com is preferable to olddating.com but there's plenty of potential with what you got to work with too

But I wasn't sure people are making more money with mature dating like seniorfriend finder and ourtime.com. Or with just mature porn

Domain is irrelevant. Either you have the skill and ability to hit your goals or you don't. Just tossing something up and hoping the world will find it, clever domain or not, is guaranteed to fail.

However long you have been out of the industry, it is much, much more difficult now than you remember.

IMHO, the goal you are aiming for, thinking you can do it on a single domain, and having to ask what to do with it, is not even remotely realistic.

I would forget about your domain and instead make a game plan about how you are going to get traffic to whatever site you are going to make. Without that, you're dead in the water. If you think affiliates are going to be the only source these days, you are going to be greatly disappointed.

You don't have to build the site, just have a landing page that API's to another site or just collect the leads for later or after the user signs up just have it say thanks for signing up we will notify you when we launch. Next, hire an adwords expert to send you traffic. Do like $100 a day for a week as a test. If you can land users for under $2, you will most likely make money on this assuming you convert 1:20. Then you gotta build the site and get whitelisting and a dedicated server and IP's. I would bet you that older people will rebill longer.

This is how I test ideas. It costs about 1k to test to see if it is even worth exploring more. If you cant get signups for the right price then don't even bother building the site. Once you know the landing page converts, then you build the site, once that is converting you can look into getting affiliates with older people traffic.
