TGPX or SmartThumbs?

TGPX or SmartThumbs, which do you prefer and why? I'd like to hear people's opinions.

Thanks

Depends on a kind of website you are going to run. TGPX have some futures that ST dont have, but ST gives better productivity. On some kind of sites i used both of them

Thanks for your vote, you didn't really back it with much though

I'm looking for reasons as to why to choose one of the other.

I was just adding child domains to my master for SmartThumbs, and I was only allowed to add 4, is this correct?

Yest for free copy. For paid copy the number of childs in unlimited (of course you have to pay $150 for every child).

TGPX is better, as you have more control. Their website is no longer up, though. I remember that all the best / biggest tgp sites were running on TGPX, a while back. For right now, I would go with Smart Thumbs, if you work on tgp sites. SmartCj is a good program too.

The top sites have always been with ST from day one uncontested. The reason is its better and much much much much much easy'er to use but tgpx has the potential to do alot more, but I stuck with ST and not for once have I regretted it... yet. If your not trading traffic too tgpx is probly a better route.

I would disagree to a point. I can't think of a single big TGP site that runs on SmartThumbs. I can think of a bunch of mid-range CJ sites though. I agree that some of the top CJ TGP sites are/were using SmartThumbs as it's a lot easier to jerk around the surfer to skim traffic. But if it's an actual Real TGP site to keep surfers coming back, some of the top real TGP sites migrated largely from Germes to TGPX. Think Pinkworld.com for example, Library of Thumbs (I think LoT uses it), etc.

One of the other reasons was that SmartThumbs comes designed to jerk surfers around and skim traffic. TGPX requires to add a traffic trading script and apply it after the fact. This has caused a lot of confusion for some folks trying to implement it.

Another one of the problems with TGPX, however, is with multiple page archives. It can be tricky getting multiple-page archives working and a lot of people had some difficulty with it.

Like was said earlier, it depends on the type of site you want to run. One to trade/sell traffic or one to build up bookmarkers and return traffic. Two entirely different approaches.

I was looking for something as similar as TGP Brownie as possible and TGPX was my choice.
