Uptick in Spam
Anyone else experiencing an increase in poorly contrived spam?
Just got a phishing one about car payments, but down at the bottom is a copy paste bit of text about Carnegie Mellon. Looks legit.  However, it seems awfully suspect to me that someone here left a message for me about how to contact me. I gave them my email but never heard from them again, but the spam started soon after. All forwarded to [email protected]

Yes... lots of phishing emails recently about suppressed Fox TV videos, my Walmart gift cards, ADT security, etc. It started 2-3 months ago.
Is it just me, or does spam seem old-fashioned and lame nowadays? With contextual ads on websites that know where I live, my demographic, etc., random emails about herbal supplements or whatever seem pathetic. |

350-400 a day is now normal.
Major main in the ass although about half go to accounts that are for single tasks only so the spam sits out like a sore thumb. |
