![]() canned water!!!!
![]() ![]() ![]() beer giant Anheuser-Busch stopped production at its Georgia brewery this week to instead produce drinking water for those affected by a deadly bout of historic flooding and storms in Texas and Oklahoma. Anheuser-Busch said it had stopped beer production at its Cartersville brewery in Georgia late Wednesday night to produce 50,000 cans of water for the American Red Cross. "Right now our production line is running emergency drinking water instead of beer," Cartersville brewery manager Rob Haas told NBC News. I'm pretty sure they have done this before. Either way good on them.
I wonder if all that rain will do anything for Texas' drought issues or if it's a case of too much rain at once and the water levels will go back to where they were.. |

This seems strange. I know they are giving the water via 50,000 cans for free to the red cross, but this seems like a waste of money and energy. Why not simply stop pumping 50,000 cans worth of water from wherever they get it from instead?

They stopped the production?
Fat ass liars. I work at ABInbev. You know what? An average can filler runs at 30k/hour. Another publicity to make you think they care. A fuck they do. They don't even care about their employees. True words from an insider...

So they canned those 50K in 0 seconds without stopping the line? Not to mention time that requires to adjust everything so that water and not beer would go there?

Nope. Of course the whole process took them about two hours.
"They stopped production... " sounds more like the whole plant stopped filling beer for days or at least one day. "Oh look, we don't need to sell beer. We don't need the money. We better give some water to the red cross. By the way... Are we live now?"

50k cans? That won't do shit. 50,000 cases, maybe.
I've heard this story three times. They obviously did it for the millions in free publicity. |

The simple fact is they couldn't keep something like this a secret, a press release makes perfect fucking sense and doesn't subtract from the effort during tragedy. While they wrote a PR, youre being adick ongfy and thinking that's better. Gofuckyouself |

You're a fucking creep. Red Cross spokesman Jordan Scott said the organization had been working with Anheuser-Busch, one of their disaster relief partners, to iron out the logistics of the water shipments and what areas they were needed the most. The Cartersville brewery produces cans of emergency relief water a few times a year, Haas said, partnering with the American Red Cross to provide to places in need within the United States. "It's something we're uniquely positioned to do in a very timely period," he said. |

Somehow I doubt not using water in Georgia will benefit anyone in Texas. The canned water will however.

I call bullshit. A gallon of water costs more than a gallon of gas. They are just going to write this off their taxes and save millions of dollars plus get the free marketing.

why in the fucking fuck would people call bullshit when it comes to helping others?
it's revealing. ?When a need for water looks imminent, we can count on Anheuser-Busch to help. They are a proactive partner with a priority to help communities during times of stress and disaster,? said Cindy Erickson, CEO American Red Cross of Eastern Missouri. Anheuser-Busch also has a brewery in Houston but the location in Cartersville is the one that typically produces water to respond to natural disasters. In 2012 it produced water to help victims of Hurricane Sandy even though the company has a brewery in Newark, NJ as well. This is the latest effort along these lines by the brewer of Budweiser, Bud Light and Michelob beers, which has distributed about 73 million cans of drinking water since 1988. |

seems as if a-b has been bullshitting for over 100 years now.
St.-Louis based Anheuser-Busch, established in 1852, began helping communities cope with disaster since 1906 when German co-founder Adolphus Busch donated to the Red Cross for victims of the San Francisco earthquake that year. Since 1988, the company has given more than 73 million cans of emergency drinking water in the wake of disasters. at least twice a year, Anheuser-Busch manufactures emergency water in its partnership with the American Red Cross. The Cartersville brewery is responsible for packing all emergency drinking water distributed for disaster relief efforts across the country. jesusfuckingchrist |
