It's been done before in the past and it invariably fails.

The problem is that if the models on the page aren't doing hardcore then there's not enough interest to maintain it. With the hardcore there's interest but the French are very reluctant to use the Internet for any kind of money transaction unless it's to a well established state recognized business. (NB. The telephone payment handlers are over-run with scams so again it's difficult)

Therefore if you want to run a model site you need to do it like bookfoto BUT...

Playboy Germany is doing fine in a country similar to France. And in the small Netherlands Playboy magazine is also a good one with beautiful models. Both offer a website for members but only in german/dutch
So from my point of view there's a place for a real Playboy France who could be more profitable with a website in both language, french and english. The only problem is the Playboy licence price that implies only a magazines company could purchase it and unfortunately french magazines companies run websites so badly that the situation has no issue.
That's why I'm thinking running a Playboy like adult site with french models.

Without any disrespect let me point out that you're not Playboy.

Playboy has a solid identifiable brand that has been around for decades. Plus it's marketing resources that you can't even hope to match. And despite the size of the French market Playboy does not appear to be willing to commit the resources on any endevor.

So don't let me stop you from trying to do what you want. After all I'll be the first to admit that I'm often wrong on many things. But just the same if you ask me the amount of work involved in trying to squeeze a euro out of the French market just isn't worth the effort. In my experience the only way you can make money in France is if you can get subsidized by the government, like I believe Hot Video is.

Ok I'm not going to say anything against Vcom but one of the biggest problems with the webmasters in France is too many of them are too busy trying to fuck the models.
