Rant Jeez Louise!

It seems like drivers are getting worse.

A couple of months ago I got clipped by a woman in the lane next to me. Both lanes were turning right, but I was in the far right lane. Rather than turning into the next lane over she turned into the near (my) lane.

Since then, I have seen loads of aggressive/careless drivers not to mention lots of folks driving under the posted limit in the left lane, seemingly oblivious to the mounting string of cars behind them. Though in one case it looked like they were actually just being a dick and driving slow where it was impossible to pass on the right, but speeding up when that lane opened up and slowing again when there were cars that once again made passing impossible.

A few weeks ago I'm making a right hand turn and will then be making another right in about 10 yards to turn into a parking garage. I have a green light, but I have to wait for a freaking unicyclist crossing through the intersection, in the middle of the street no less, although there are both a bike lane and a sidewalk. No problem, I'm in no hurry so no big deal. He passes, and I turn right but rather than zip around him and cut him off I just hold back. He glances over his shoulder and I guess I startled him because he rocked back off his unicycle and starts to yell at me "just go around," "I'm turning RIGHT THERE, you jackass!"

So just an hour or so ago I'm heading to the grocery store and a woman pulls out in front of me. I come to a stop rather than run into her, and she stops. She then motions for me to go. No, you're now in the middle of the intersection and I'll have to cross over into the other lane to get around you, so go ahead. Finally, she goes, but looking at me and yelling something behind her rolled-up windows. Usually I let things slide, but enough is enough. So there I am at a full stop in the middle of an intersection with my head out the window yelling "YOU PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF ME YOU STUPID FUCKING BITCH!" I should be commended for checking myself and not using the word 'cunt' instead, a word I never use, though in this case it seemed appropriate.

Seriously, in the past I would just let things slide. Don't let it into your head; just laugh it off and go about your business. But, you fuck up and then yell at me like it's my fault? No fucking way am I just going to take that shit without saying something!

I log over 100kms/day of city driving - 5 days a week. And overwhelmingly the worst, habitual tailgators are young females. It's fucking epidemic. I see it at least half a dozen times a day on average.

The most unpredictable drivers are Asian females. No turn signals, random braking for no reason, slow (as in at least 10kms/hr under the speed limit). They seldom check their mirrors before lane changes. An egg timer would run out while they're parallel parking.

One thing I'm very thankful for lately is the gov't just passed legislation to increase the distracted driving fine from $280 - to $1,000. Yay!! Distracted driving is another epidemic that needs to be stopped.

Never been to LA - but I've traveled up and down the east coast to a ton of major cities (including NYC, Philly, Boston, Detroit) - and hands-down the worst drivers I've seen are in Qweebec.

Anytime I get out of Chicago I enjoy being able to actually move. I think cell phones are the worst problem here. Everyone dicking with their phones so half of the delay isn't really traffic just dumb asses that take forever to get their shit moving and Chicago stoplights change colors quick.

Few weeks ago some chick slammed into the back of me while I was almost stopped due to texting. Fucked my neck up a little as wasn't expecting the hit.

Last week I saw a guy dicking with his phone about to roll through a stop sign so I started my turn in front of him to regulate his ass. He throws his hand up like wtf. I flip him off and point to the stop sign. He flips me off so with no delay just threw my door open to go strangle the bitch. Let's just say that fuck and his BMW made a very fast u-turn and bolted. So slowly I'm gonna start beating people until they learn how to drive.

A week ago this past Monday I had a young kid take a run at me with his car (late model Volvo) - had to leap outta the way into a muddy ditch to avoid being hit. He intentionally gunned the car and aimed straight for me.

I grabbed my cellphone, called cops immediately - quickly jotting down his plate number. The kid buggered off from the area and I remained by the side of the road filing the police report with the dispatcher. A cop called me back later in the day and took a few details, but said we'd have meet somewhere for details to press charges. Cop said he'd try vehicular assault on a law enforcement officer...but might have to drop down to the lesser reckless driving.

Haven't heard from the cop for ten days. I called and left a msg. two days ago - no return call. I'm giving it till Friday...then calling his superior (a high-ranking administrative staff sergeant I know personally).

OP, you should invest in a dashcam. Sounds like you'd get some great footage for Youtube.
