Here is what happened.

I used to have cam studios in Russia. Meaning, i started at the very start. 1998. I had by the time i talked to Paul, 3 large offices and several hundred full time employees... from drivers, to cooks, to cleaners, to security, models, admins, office managers, content managers and so on and so on. Remember, Internet was too expensive for home connections at the time. No one had money. Computers were too expensive for the average person. The average monthly income was about $200.00 or so, our girls made upwards of $1000.00 a month and at the time, they needed to do it from a place that had a big (and unbelievably expensive) broadband connection, computers, cameras etc. So I built and built and built and built.

It was becoming clear that my partnership was going to fall apart. For example, when Visa lowered chargebacks from 2% to 1%, this literally wiped out a lot of cams, dating and adult sites. With competition increasing and transaction volumes decreasing, CBs spiked for many at the very worst time. My partners attitude was basically "well, who cares, we can always find something else to do". I started to panic and I started developing and testing stuff on my own. I built a whole new cam system and this time, I built a very slick solo model system - each model i chose, having her own site, her own content, her own members and having the opportunity to really make a great deal more money if she wanted to work. I made a test site around one girl. It looked like a solo girl site, really selling the personality, except it was focused on her being live. When she was on cam, that was displayed on the main page, when she wasn't, her "girlfriends" were. The sites required an email join, i started buying ppc traffic to them wiht my partner which was doing 1:5... and converting to paid members at about 1:20. The numbers were crazy. We were excited. We had a lot of money and wanted to create them 10 at a time.

I began to play with hiring photographers in St Petersburg to shoot content. It went horribly. There were a few amazing photographers who were known and either ran their own sites or shot for big names (club seventeen etc) and charged western prices. The rest, basically shot passport photos with nothing in between. What I wanted to do was shoot a basic content package for each solo site... like 35 sets and 20 videos or something like that. Nothing high end, but not garbage. I reached out to a few Czech guys and other producers and it was happening right at the time that the content biz was falling apart (remember J$tyles/Markham/Aaron M battle over cheap content packages?? The board fights?). Many content guys pushed back with answers like "i am not going to shoot for lower rates" etc. Which is fine. Paul and a few others agreed to do them in large packages - like 10 girls at a time. Russian girls could get Visas to CZ, everything there was cheap. I'd just rent a couple apartments for a few months for a few hundred a month in Brno. It was a nice treat for them. I could get all my content. Life would have been nice.

Paul and I agreed to a price per package. Something like $2500.00 each. What he said specifically was that Eva would shoot, not him (because he was too amazing and too expensive). I honestly didn't care because I was seeing the results of what we shot ourselves and it was crazy, the concept was good and it was working better than expected. I just needed content that didn't suck and that was better than what I did. So.... i agreed with him on basic details and that i'd fly over from Russia to Brno, we'd meet, discuss it all further and i'd make a decision that week on who'd i'd use for shooting.

As i explained in that thread. I never spoke of any of this until that thread only because his wife was really nice to us, because we'd had dinner at his home etc and I tried to be respectful of these other facts in spite of him fully melting down when his content business tanked - but talking about how great he was, how successful he was, how he'd done so much business with everyone etc. The truth was that he was both broke and desperate and losing everything at the time I was there.

I flew there with a manager of mine who would be dealing with him directly after we started biz. We drove from Prague to Brno, met him and he suggested we go to a sort of Euro Hypermarket type shopping place and sit and have coffee and talk. From the moment we sat down, it felt like he was someone that had just escaped from the local insane asylum, was off his meds and was posing as a business person. I knew within minutes that I was not going to do any business with him... but I was trying to see how things played out and his wife had already invited us to dinner the next day, we'd already agreed to spend time at his "studio" and that they'd show us around and so on. As i said in that thread, he was loud. He was obnoxious. People are walking by and namely guys with younger teen girls and he's loudly saying thing things like "i'd really love to bury my tongue in her ass".

We were both mortified and extremely embarrassed. It's not like almost no one speaks English and couldn't understand him. We had to make excuses and get out of there, agreeing to meet later. Anyway, long story short, it went from bad to worse. I've seen Paul at shows, I've been at dinners with him and he was usually pretty quiet and subdued ... like an introverted person who was just shy. What I saw in Brno, with him trying to impress us was literally insane behavior. I described it in that thread in great detail... and of course, he was denying that he'd ever met me, called me a liar and so on, in spite of me even describing the inside of his house or even tiny details like the annoying little bell he had that rang on the computer every time his "bargain basement content" store made a 9.99 sale which was loud outside of his little office, with the door opening to the living room of his tiny little place... or I described being at a photo shoot with him, which he denied even happened, until i posted pictures.

I have a huge problem with the lowest common denominator of society screaming "racism" and "racist" to anyone who makes a valid point they don't want to hear... or that takes an event like Michael Brown trying to kill a cop and turns it into Michael Brown being a hero and then burns a city down and loots every store around in "protest" "for justice"

I have a huge problem with him constantly race baiting people for sig views, denying it and then calling anyone racist that says something he doesn't want to hear, when its clearly not racist or intended to be.

Few things irritate me more than people refusing to accept any responsibility or accountability for anything at all as they shout down anyone that says something they don't want to hear by calling them something as equally wrong as the "N word" like "racist".

Making it worse, they don't even know what "racist" means.

And by the way,... why is it ok for Brassmonsters and Blackmonkey to call others "racist" for simply pointing out some actual statistics and its not ok to call them the N Word? How is one better or worse than the other? I personally don't see a distinction between the two. One is every bit as wrong as the other.

Dinner was kinda awkward. Though i am a bit dickish here, i am super cordial and polite and well mannered. I don't really fuck around in other peoples homes. I respected the fact that he invited me to his home with his wife and child to have dinner and wouldn't do anything to make that weird.

Basically, we got to his house, already our heads are spinning with one "what the fuck" experience after another with him. I mean seriously, it would have been less awkward taking that String Emil guy to Catholic Mass with the Pope than spending an afternoon in public with Paul talking about how awesome he is at the top of his voice, only pausing to leer at a girl walking by and saying how he'd love to rub his face in her crotch at the top of his lungs.

By the time we were at his house, we were already wanting get back to Prague, have a little fun and move on. We just wanted to be polite and get it over with.

We get to his house which was a kind of cute little brick cottage. I think there were 2 small downstairs bedrooms,, one as an office and an upstairs sort of loft (i didnt see upstairs). It was small, but kinda nice.

First, he shows me his online content store. Most don't remember, but content almost overnight went from being an expensive commodity to almost free thanks to J$tyles "Content Blowout" promotion. Paul and AaronM and him fought an epic battle over this, resulting in Pauls creation of bargainbasementcontent.com or whatever the hell it was.

Anyway, he's showing me his online store, his sales etc to impress me. I'm asking a few questions and with everything else, starting to get an idea of his basic financial picture. The guy who would have everyone think he was super successful was basically living off $4-$5,000.00 USD in total income per month. By this point, he wasn't shooting really, he was coasting off what he had already shot in the past.

*NOTE: In one thread on this forum, i actually got him to admit that a good month for him was 5k USD.

Now, i am all for anyone that does an honest days work. I have nothing but respect for a kid in McDonalds that's on time, does a great job, even if he's the guy mopping the floor. I was brought up commercial fishing in the Bering Sea and appreciate work ethic. But what went thought my mind was "holy fuck, I just spent $8,000.00 at the Intercontinental in Berlin". The point being that there were a lot of companies at the time (particularly before) doing 7-8 figures a month. Ifriends was doing 9 figures a year before anyone knew what live chat was. I always thought I was just a nobody. Literally, I thought everyone was more successful than me. Just because he lived modestly, didn't mean he didn't have 6,000,000.00 USD in the bank. I was fucking stunned to realize he made less than he could make at any normal job as an adult. But the way he talked on forums was that all the biggest print and video and content guys came to him. Knowing what the top shooters made.. even a few from St Petersburg, it seemed safe to assume he was doing extremely well for himself. As it turned out, it was all pure bullshit. He was just an old, broke and seriously disturbed guy.

But there was a really weird part to this. He had recently launched his discount content store and he had a little audio bell sound that played every time he got a sale. First, he just showed me it and made it "ding" sound and showed me that every time he made money he got to hear that sound. Whatever, right? We all refresh our stats every 5 minutes, we all get excited about the little things and so on. So we move to the living room, my head is swimming in "what the fuck, where are we, what are we doing, seriously, how the fuck did i end up on this guys couch?", the girl i am with is totally speechless and uncomfortable and he offers us beer. I didn't drink. She didn't drink. We declined, he grabbed a beer and starts drinking. He then announces a big football/soccer match is on and puts it on. We all just kinda sat there in awkward silence as he drank and watched the game. He tried to pass it off as him not being interested in dealing with us, so this is how he decided to treat guests in his home. The truth was just that we were completely speechless and even worse... we hoped he wouldn't talk.

... Then, that little bell went off. He lights up like a kid at Christmas and runs to his office. He comes back grinning ear to ear. I'm thinking he made a $500.00 content sale. He announces "another sale! i love that sound" or something similar. I ask him "How much" and he tells me something. it was like $9.00 (the bargain content store). So i'm thinking "ok, whatever, good for him.. he made a sale. sales are good. sales make me happy too". Anyway, like an hour later, "DING!"... he jumps up again like a kid at Christmas again, runs into his office comes back out excited and announces he made another $9.00. By this time, i'm only speaking Russian and we are just basically saying "are we on a hidden camera show? do you think its a Russian show or Czech show... will we be on Czech tv and not know it" etc. and we just finished our food and said we had to get going.

So for myself, i was sort of really embarrassed because I was telling this girl that worked for me, essentially the head of operations, "hey, this guy is legit, we need to go meet him and see if we can get this organized and do the shoots there".. she meets him and basically is saying to me "look motherfucker, you brought me to this beautiful country to spend it with post soviet town with this disheveled lunatic who offered to fuck me for 1000.00... whats going on? You're slipping!"

And remember.... even read that viliage idiot thread. This is a guy talking about how much his time is worth. How expensive he is. How much he makes. "why would i waste my time with you" and he's been doing that for years.

I agreed to shoot these solo girl packages with him for $2500 each (Eva was going to shoot them because according to him, his time was too valuable), doing them in groups of 10. He's at the same time, getting excited about $10.00 sales. This guy admitted to living on 5k a month, I personally saw proof of it and that his small operation was imploding around him. At the same time (and when i met him), he talks about how valuable his time is and that he can't be bothered with $25,000.00 6-7 day photo shoots. On this forum, he talked like he wouldn't get out of bed unless unless someone volunteered to scatter $100,000 on the floor to soften his landing. It was super surreal and even his replies in that thread were nonsensical and highlight how bizarre he is.

I've been around Paul at shows and sat at dinners with him at least twice at a show and he was pretty reserved. Almost seemed introverted and shy. After being around him in his own element, it was pretty clear that he knew he didn't possess the proper social skills to interact with others like a sane person. I get why people say "i know him and I like him" or "'ve met him and i liked him",... because he wasn't even close to himself at a show. He seemed like a fairly normal, quiet guy.

We left and he kept hitting me up to do it.We had no interest in dealing with him. I might have misspoke. What I was trying to say was I was watching this guy who was basically broke taking about how valuable his time was as a professional photographer and that he'd have his wife shoot it. What most don't know is that his wife actually shot a large part of the content he sold. He kept always giving examples "I pay a girl x, I shoot x sets, I sell then x times for x dollars - basically "I am not going to shoot anything for less than $4000 a day or something like that. And I am listening to him and you can plainly see he is broke and makes no money shooting at all. Remember, his business was dead soon after.

I was watching him get excited over a $10.00 sale.... But in the other thread, his defense in the end was "I just wasn't interested in doing business with you and that's why I can't remember you". Our agreement was $2600 per hole, would girls at a time. It wasn't too long after that he was begging for money on this forum.

I don't know his story exactly. I suspect that he got a few content orders in a short period of time and sold a bit online and was able to lease space he had. I think that about that same time, work for him completely dried up and he slowly coasted to a halt. But in his own mind (as he shoes on this forum), he thought he was a world champion photographer deserving $1000.00 plus per hour or something for his time.

I like Paul but the thing I remember about his rants most was how he kept saying 'Content is King!' while others said 'Traffic is King!'. This really set him off and he started comparing everything to how things were in the seventies when, as a photographer, you could certainly make 5k a day or more. Shooting for Hustler or Oui or Juggs or whatever.

He took his experiences and pretended to know how to sell porn in 2012 (or whenever this was). Thing is, he had content (whoever shot it) so if I gave a fuck (and wanted the hassles, which I did not) I could've helped Paul re-brand his content and maybe sell his stuff. It wasn't terrible. It wasn't awe inspiring either. LOL

But then Paul went off the deep end. How much he needs to keep his little house in CZ afloat who knows but it can't be much compared to England or NYC (where I am). He could have easily made $1000+ a month selling his old shit IF he knew how to do it, or would listen to those who did know how. But sadly he wasn't really interested in that. Paul was mostly interested in being RIGHT - which is why it was so funny how wrong he was a lot of the times.
