This lion instance is different, and at first I also thought it was a big fuss over the 'normal' procedure, until I read more. I can't knock someone for being a cunt, mostly due to me being one in a ton of other areas, but if the bloke broke the law as well at the same time, well that's tough shit on him and he should (and obviously is) feeling the consequences. As usual though, people are going off in all sorts of tangents and unrelated side-arguments on both sides.

Has he done more for conservation that 99.99% of the people pissed at him? Well yes, but if I treat 35 consecutive girlfriends fantastically, restore their faith in men, share great experiences with them, get on well even after splitting up, then go and rape a woman, does that make the rape ok? Of course it doesn't, so all this 'but he did this other thing in some other instance' bollocks is... well, bollocks.

IMO, endangered or not, doesnt matter, nothing should be killing anything for those purposes. No religioun, government or expert needs to explain that to me. I know that already by seeing the painful eyes and hearing the painful squeeling of anything that is living, that is being killed.

i know, i am just getting tired the media jumps on specific incidents completely ignoring other bad shit in the world because that isn't sensational enough. Ofcourse this guy is an asshole. But i bet CNN is airing 24/7 about it.

Even better example is the kids in the pool incident. Huge uproar, for what? For some kids in a pool and a stressed out cop. Easy target for media to make it a black-white thing once again, which they know scores in the USA. And idiots all fall for it.

Or when something like the white redneck guy who shot up those black people happens. Somehow media spins it that in the end, the discussion is about... a flag. A flag! Psycho kills people and the media manages to brainwash the masses that they eventually all argue about a fucking flag. You cannot come up with this shit. Anyway i'm going way past the point so carry on!

I grew up as a hunter and the area I grew up in was about 75% hunters, yet we're all pissed off about this and here's why. This man illegally killed an animal. My own personal issue with trophy hunting aside, when someone poaches an animal, they are stealing. They stole a life, they're stealing from those who are hunting legally. They are stealing from the local economy and it leads to even more laws, rules and regulations (and costs for licenses).

Poachers are thieves, and as such, he should be punished accordingly.

Interesting that many on the right want to make a black youth accountable for stealing, but want to give this man a free pass.

I do find it interesting that if I wanted to satisfy a blood lust by hunting down and killing another human, I would be called a sociopath and put in jail, but if I wanted to do the same to animal, just for the thrill of the kill and not to protect or sustain, it would be ok (as long as I had the proper license ;-))
