Feeling old?

Star Wars came out 38 years ago.
39 Years since Logans Run
16 years since The Matrix
49 Years since Star Trek TOS, and 6 years since the Star Trek reboot (Chris Pine) came out.

Fubar's first gallery is of WebExpo in Montreal 16 years ago : http://fubarwebmasters.com/archive/webexpo/webexpo1.htm

IA200 was also 16 years ago.
The last Cybernet Expo in Montreal was 12 years ago.
The first Qwebec Expo was 11 years ago (ack! Quebec04)

sigh...

Last night I biked twenty milies, my daily (nightly really) routine. I weight less now than at any other time in the past three years - a lot less.

I feel young.

But I can't wait for Star Wars to come out.

When Star Wars came out in 77' I was 7 years old and I remember having my older sister reading the opening crawl to me. When EP One came out I watched it several times including midnight showing. The time that sticks out the most was when I took my 6 year old daughter and read her the opening crawl. It was a very emotional time and after the movie I emailed my sister thanking her for reading me that so many years before..

So yes I do feel old!

Congrats Rochard! I've been excessing a lot this summer and feel great. Still have a gut though but otherwise feeling good.

And yeah, can't wait for Star Wars. The theatres here in Montreal sell tickets in advance to a lot of movies - I'll be trying to get mine for the earliest possible show.

I was born in the last year of the baby boomer generation.

A postage stamp cost 5 cents, a loaf of bread cost 20 cents, and a movie ticket was just $1.25.

The first Mustang rolled out of Dearborn, Michigan.

The Rolling Stones released their first album.

The Beatles appeared live on the Ed Sullivan Show.

Muhummed Ali knocked out Sonny Liston to become World Heavyweight Champion.

"Jeopardy!" premiered.

Bizarre to think that logan's run is only one year older than star wars. Seems like they were made in different eras. If I was asked to guess I would have thought logans run was from the late 60s.

I know what you mean. It really looks like a 60's movie. Some of the FX look terrible, and the costumes are ... interesting.

I keep hoping for a remake.

Crazy. I still have one in my game room. Wonder how many xbox 360s will still be functional in 40 years.

You should put that in your sig along with you shoot hoops a lot, would save you typing it out a few times a day. Congrats on keeping in shape btw.
