New Poll: Trump beats out every Democrat, gets 25% black vote

Polls are polls, but interesting nonetheless.

*

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- An exclusive Eyewitness News nationwide poll conducted by SurveyUSA shows that Donald Trump would beat all Democratic presidential candidates if the election were held today.

According to the poll, Trump would narrowly defeat Hillary Clinton 45 percent to 40 percent in a head-to-head matchup. Sixteen percent were undecided.

Against Bernie Sanders, Trump wins 44 percent to 40 percent.

And against Joe Biden, Trump wins 44 percent to 42 percent.

For all the talk about Donald Trump allegedly driving minorities away from the Republican Party, could he actually bring people in?

A SurveyUSA poll released Friday shows in a hypothetical matchup with Hillary Clinton, Trump is ahead 45% to 40%.

But digging into the racial breakdown of the respondents is revealing. For example, the poll finds 25% of black respondents say they would vote for Trump over Clinton.

Polls are polls, and can be vastly misleading. I made a comment on FB the other day about how funny I thought it was when Trump said "The military loves me". The pointed to a poll where it said 75% of vet support Trump. When you read the full article it stated all of the vets at this gathering were Republicans.

With that said, it's pretty clear that Trump is dominating the polls.

There are multiple polls out there that say the vast majority of Hispanics are against Trump: Poll: 82% of Hispanics view Trump unfavorably - CNNPolitics.com

And it's clear why.... You can't say "Mexicans are rapists" and expect to recover from that.

Donald Drumpf filming 'Wall Street' sequel: Hands off the hair!

Watching voters touch The Donald’s hair during a campaign stop last week brought back memories for a film industry worker who had a very different experience with Drumpf on the set of “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.”

“They made everyone sign this contract that you couldn’t touch his hair,” laughs our insider, who worked with Drumpf on a scene that didn’t make the final cut. “The two hairdressers and the production team had to sign this contract.”

What about the other 15% to 18% ?

Those are very soft numbers and this early on in the game they are meaningless.

But I never underestimate the foolishness of the electoral public -- generally idiot puppets are elected. So, no one is pulling the puppets' strings here

The problem with national polls is that they matter less than the state by state polls. This election will likely be like the last four where there will be solid red states and blue states and about 8-10 battleground states. Whoever wins most of those battleground states will win the election. So, to me, a poll that shows how they match up in those potential battle ground states would be more valuable.

True, but getting 25% african votes may indicate that it would be the best republican election in terms of getting african votes. And that alone is quite an edge if you talk about battlegrounds where 50/50 or 51/49, or 52/48 used to happen.

I mean do not be too serious about it, but we can take it as a nice indicator.

For sure. I would imagine his potential 25% of the black vote is at least 5 times what any other Republican candidate could get. If he gets the nomination and that holds true it could help him.

Trump's definitely tapping into a 'Middle Path' huge cross section of the electorate who feel left out by the hardcore liberals and dogmatic conservatives.

Political campaigns are paced. There are a long list of people who 'would have won if the election was held today' but got their asses handed to them on Election Day. What matters are where they stand in November of 2016. Winning in Sept of 2015 is about as helpful as winning a vagina eating contest at a nunnery. Yes it seems important, but when you tell anyone they look at you cynically.

I am also wondering if Trump could hold the momentum for that long.
Ps: media tried to destroy him, but it backfired. How long till they realize to ignore him instead? Although it may be too late for that.

I am backing up my comment about how wrong polls can be by linking up to another poll that shows the direct opposite of the original poll. One pull is saying Trump is winning, while the other poll is saying the majority of Hispanics will not vote for him - which is a large percentage of the population.

Hispanics are now the majority here in California, and if 80% of them vote against Trump in the election he cannot win here. This will be a problem in every state where there is a large Hispanic population.

All the other side has to do is run ads saying "Mexicans are rapists" and then it's all over for Trump.

Those are not direct opposite. They are not even a little bit opposite as those are different polls. Your reasoning is illogical, as usual.

Idiot, he said - some illegals are rapists, not Mexicans are rapists.

Fucking demtards and their twisting tactics.

And they do it as if that is nothing.

I am yet to see any hardcore demtard or libtard NOT to do shit like that in discussion.

That's Trumps answer for everything. "X loves me".

"The Mexicans love me. I have so many of them working for me."

He's a canned response machine. Every single thing he says, he repeats at every stump speech. The man has nothing to say.

By that logic one could say 'some priests are rapists', 'some librarians are rapists', some auto-mechanics are rapists' - it was a disingenuous comment by him, and you attempting to defend it is even less intellectually genuine.

History suggests that the eventual nominee will emerge from 2015 in one of the top two or three positions, as measured by endorsements, fund-raising and polling.

http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2...08.mobile.html

Bush and trump are 1 and 2

The polls get most of the attention, but they?re not the most important part of the early stages of a presidential campaign. The better guide to who?s really winning is known as the ?invisible primary,? in which candidates compete for support from their fellow politicians, from party leaders and from donors.

The candidate who wins the invisible primary usually wins the nomination. Even when he doesn?t, the eventual nominee tends to be a candidate who was a close runner-up.

Trump could be losing all Hispanic voters and still be shown as leading in the polls. The two are not mutually exclusive. Hispanics might make up the majority of California, but they are only about 18% of the population nationwide.

They will play a major role in the election, however, because Trump would need to be able to win battleground states and if those states average an Hispanic population that makes up 18% of the voters that is a big block of votes to lose to his opponents.

While some polls are inaccurate, the reality is that the science behind them is actually pretty sound and in many cases they end up being pretty damn accurate.
