Finally watched the Star Trek reboot.

Chris Hemsworth played a great Capt. Kirk.

Going to watch Into the Darkness now. Great reboot if you're into sci-fi shit.

You're probably thinking of Chris Pine...although Chris Hemsworth is in the beginning of the movie as Kirk's father.

Yeah, him. Not Thor.

I thought it was pretty good.

Yesterday Watchmen was on TV and I recorded it, and just watched it... I thought that was great.

I bet! I just finally got around to watching them both, but it was on the small screen. Oh well, they were great movies and they did a great job on them. I love how they redid a character from a previous Trek classic...won't mention the name so I don't ruin it for someone else. Don't want to Kahn,...I mean CON them into watching it if they don't want. Damn spellcheck.

If you're a fan of Star Trek the Original, and if you haven't seen them yet, you have to check out Star Trek Continues

Yes they are:

The 3rd movie is called "Star Trek Beyond", directed by Justin Lin (Fast and Furious movies), due to be in theatres on July 8th 2016.

Star Trek Beyond (2016) - IMDb

I Loved the first Star Trek, but didn't care much for Star Trek Into Darkness. It seemed to be missing some heart somehow. I can't explain it better than that.

The 3rd one is being made...
{edit...see Mark's post above!}

...and I agree about the 2nd one...
Overall, bother were good and worth watching.
I did NOT like Kirk dying & the similarities to Spock dying. {Sorry if I spoiled!}
Mostly because since that was 'early on' yet never mentioned ever in the tv series or other older movies, it made no sense.
