So you posted another person's word as your own, and you are the decent guy because you didn't reword it just a little bit so you could be tracked down?

That's a new one. I'll give you credit for that.

I didn't post it as my own. I suggest you go back and reread it, if you read it at all.

LOL. I see your PS note. Use the quote tags, that's what they are there for.

Please don't try to defend passing off another's words as your own and thinking no one would notice that it came from you. Or that notice that Google exists.

That wasn't there before. You saw you were caught and added it before the edit expired. It looks like you mixed it in with your own "intellectual" ramblings, so don't try to act like you gave some kind of credit. But someone who would engage in that kind of behavior would also think everyone else is too dumb to know, so it makes perfect sense.

Well, it seems like you just like movies with realism then?? Or more realistic movies.

Will try to catch that movie some day. As I already got a bunch I haven't watched yet. I got For a Few Dollars More on DVD. Which I haven't watched yet. And I think I got this double DVD(with The good, the bad, the ugly on it too) like 6 years ago. Crazy!!

I wouldn't say Sergio Leone movies have a lot of realism, but they do feel real. They are just fucking cool as hell. The music, the shots, the close ups, the awesome dialogue, the stares. It's no surprise his style has been copied by all the directors we consider great these days.

If you are quick enough. The edit will not show up. I think I read it, and thought you wrote it too. Nevertheless. Hope you aren't lying?? :/

It doesn't show if you edit it right away. If you edit it several minutes later it shows. Why would it show only sometimes? But whatever, it's not my problem you guys missed it.

I apologize. I looked at the times posted and my post was 2 hours after yours, so there was no way you could edit it.

It's still lame to grab someone else's thoughts to use as your own, even with that barely there credit.

Victoria's Secret models, Lenny Kravitz's daughter, and Elvis's Granddaughter, what's not to enjoy.

Would not place it in any top movie list, but I was entertained by it quite a bit, which is the only important thing about a movie to me, that I am entertained.

I thought the guitar guy in mad max was great and completely appropriate. Sure, it was over the top ridiculous, but what wasn't in that war party. Its a movie about a bunch of crazy mother fuckers in an endless desert

I'm amazed you guys have time to actually post on gfy with all the time you clearly spend telling kids to turn their hippity hop music down and yelling at people to get off your lawn

Trust me, this movie ia a fad that in 5 years nobody will remember. Juat wait for the next CGI overdose, horribly-acted, plot absent, must-see-in-3D movie to come out and the new Mad Max will be a no more than another hyped up movie that is all cheap style and no substance.

Meanwhile, true masterpieces live on forever.

I don't understand the high ratings, then again a high rating doesn't mean it's good.

For example i searched on those sites for the worst, most stupid and laughable excuse for a movie i have seen in at least the last 10 years (Captain America the First Avenger), a complete piece of shit which truly gets a 1 out of 10 from me if i would rate it. And look at the average ratings:

Captain America: The First Avenger Reviews - Metacritic
66 & 69

Captain America: The First Avenger*(2011) - Rotten Tomatoes
79 & 74

According to Bronco67 the Backstreet Boys were one of the greatest bands of all time, simply because they sold shit load of records. Consensus, especially at the time of release, doesn't mean shit.

I finally got around to watching it and I just don't think they did a good job with the character build up. It's like they just tried to make the movie non stop action with spectacular shots, but there is no connection with the characters.

Don't get me wrong, the filming, special effects were great and I'd have lov d to be on the team that got to build all those crazy ass cars and trucks. It's just I couldn't feel any attachment to any of the leading roles as everything was just too fast paced with no real build up of dialogue.

Also I'm pretty sure the main bad guy was Dog the Bounty Hunter or L-Pinks cousin..

I hear you, but ... Inception: Wow. And if you've never see it, I urge you to check out "The Prestige" if you can stand one more Nolan movie. Not an action movie, but a really clever mindfuck.

This movie takes something that would dwarf the Apollo lunar missions and turns it into some ridiculous "Plan A/Plan B" tediousness.
Mmmmm well yeah maybe kinda yes / no. I loved the movie but have lots of pet peeves about it. The teacher dismissing the apollo program and the school teaching it was all a scam, did not serve the story at all and was pretty stupid. Surely the father would have known about this before it was ever done.

For a girl who is so science-minded and not so young, she is too quick to believe in ghosts. Guessing her age to be around 13 and the daughter of a nasa test pilot, and also judging by all of the science and science-fiction books on the shelf, her poltergeist theory feels out of place for the movie.

Some other things that bug me:

- What time is this movie supposed to be taking place? They have drones with Indian-made solar panels flying around, but they drive current-time pickup trucks.

- Why did he use a paper map to find the Location? Where's his GPS?

- Why would Nasa be underground? And how could they build such a huge facility, let alone a space ship, underground?

I really love the movie and have seen it 4 times already, but puzzle peaces not quite fitting bug me. I also thought they could have used more drama when revealing the time dilation effects. After they come back from the planet, whats his name is 7 years older. "Oh, hi, you're 7 years older now.. well anyway, blah blah blah". It should have been a kick in the head.

I suggest instead watching "Through the Wormhole" with Morgan Freeman or re- watching "2001: A Space Odyssey." Even "Contact" with Jodie Foster is more entertaining and imaginative.

2001 is awesome of course, and Contact is one of my favourite movies of all time.

Tell you what - I'll meet you half way on this. I think its a pretty smart movie, that could have and should have been much smarter. I love to be challenged when watching a good sci-fi movie, and this one didn't challenge me. (But I still loved it)

I'll meet you part way on this. I thought the editing was great, however, I hated the voice-over of the people in the beginning of the movie, talking about the dusty days. The movie seems to start from their point of view, but then never returns to it. Yes I know you see the same people at the end on the TV's in front of the farm, but to me it feels like a part of the movie is not wrapped up. (Still over it though)

I saw it, but didn't really like it much.

I used to like the movie, but not really anymore. Michael Bay has come a long way.

No, no no.... lol!

Let's clarify: The short story it is based on ("The Sentinel") is good, and the book 2001 was great. The movie itself is... interesting. I find it hard to watch.
