Google Drive or Drop Box?

I am looking to upgrade to 1TB+ on my a cloud service. I use will be accessing from all platforms.

I have narrowed it down to Google Drive & Drop Box. Please share your thoughts, if you use either of these premium cloud services.

$$$ is not a concern; I am looking for the best cross-platform storage w/ ease of use.

It really depends on who you want to feed your data to.
If you want a more secure solution you should try spideroak.com you encrypt the data on the computer and they store the encrypted info.

I rely heavily on Dropbox for most of my things. It works on all my devices, Macbook Air, ipad, iphone, Android, Windows XP, Win 7, Win 8, Win2008 server, Win2012 server and possibly one or two more devices I can't remember. It has served me well over the years and is highly recommended. Primarily because of speed and reliability.

I'd go with dropbox.

Nothing sensitive - this is for personal - a replacement for iCloud to back up my, my wife & kids phones, iPads & some file sharing. I'm over iCloud & I need cross platform.

Go with tresorit, based out of switzerland and it's end to end encryption for the exact same price as dropbox and the user interface is the same just drag and drop into the folder. 100 gigs is 9.99/month. I like spideroak but they are US based and could 'potentially' be forced to hand over keys if they keep them which they say they don't.

For whatever provider you use I suggest you use a system like Boxcryptor: https://www.boxcryptor.com/en/classic

I would go with the classic version, the new 2.0 version appears to be highly integrated to their "cloud service", meaning the tools to decrypt your files will be placed in the cloud as well.

google drive does not allow you to auto upload photos from your phone the way drop box and one drive does.

I would go with Dropbox, Google pushes you into their other products whenever you use them, you will be tied up in their ecosystem and if you want to leave Google Drive in the future due to a price increase or better offer it will be too difficult.
