Is Paxum still alive?

Does anyone know if Paxum is actually still alive? This is the 2nd time they've "lost" a wire from us which make me doubt if this company actually still has a future.

Besides that they keep on changing banks which makes me wonder about their credibility. Anyone know anything about this?

Hi Erwin,

Chatting to you on Skype about this now.

For the record in this thread; Paxum has not changed bank recently. The wire changes have been made by Choice bank.

Choice first made a change to the intermediary bank, and then a couple days later they changed the wire format again. We were not given any advance notice of the change, and we do apologize for any inconvenience or delay that occurs as a result of this change.

I'm looking into your situation now.

Thanks,
Ruth

Not meaning to pile on here, but we are having EXACTLY the same situation with Paxum. Our wire load of Oct 5th has been "lost".

But, I have confidence that this will be sorted out, and Paxum will be around for the long term. When things work, they work very well with them.

But right now, my message to Paxum: Get your shit together. This current situation is not acceptable. We have many publishers waiting for payment.

The only time my load wires get "lost" with them is when I ignore a recent update email or fail to follow some part of the wire load procedure.

Ruth always sorts it out quickly.

From my perspective, it looks like Paxum is working normally... Ok, sometimes they have some issues... Ok, maybe often.
JK! I use Paxum on a daily basis.

Yes, Ruth is on the case, and I'm sure it will be sorted.

But, we followed their wire instructions EXACTLY. Turns out that their bank changed wire instructions without informing Paxum. But, the fact remains, that Paxum has our money, and has yet to credit our account.

Yeah give it a business day or two it should be sorted. Hard to deal with in these times of instant gratification, but it'll get sorted.

This isn't a case of not getting instant gratification. We pride ourselves on paying our publishers on time - that's why we initiated a load on Oct 5. We contacted Ruth last Thursday Oct 8 to ask about our wire load. So, it's been outstanding since then.

I'm not letting Paxum off the hook so easily, as it's not the first time it's happened. And, their competitors (Payoneer) seem to have no problems with wire loads. We've done two loads to Payoneer in the last week. The last one took less than 24 hours to be credited. And, Paxum and Payoneer use the same bank...

We stopped using paxum when the wires we sent to load the account were returned on multiple occaisions.

I dont need the embarrasment of explaining to people why they have not been paid.

Exactly this, I'd like to pay our affiliates etc on time and it's hard to explain that money is just "lost". I just heard back from Paxum, they don't know where it is and now I have to hope our bank can actually pull it back.....

I understand that, but banking regulations keep getting tougher and tougher and transferring money overseas is just not easy, more and more banks are opting out of being involved in setups like Paxum rather than deal with the responsibility of complying with all the US banking bullshit - even if they aren't US banks they need to be able to deal with US banks so they have to be, and stay in compliance.

Services like Paxum are great when they work but you need to have a backup plan in place. By transferring to a 3rd party and then to your payees you are, statistically, literally doubling the chances of a delay because each transaction is now 2 transactions.

Personally I only use them for smaller vendors whenever possible, so I can avoid $45 wire fees on payouts under $1000 or so. The smaller payouts add up, but if there is a delay, (and sooner or later there will be) I can always rush out and do a Western Union or Moneygram to avoid being late on payouts. I have delays as well from time to time, I think we all do. I generally ask my payees what they would prefer, and most of the time they will prefer to wait and receive their payouts through usual methods - but if they are in a rush I can take care of them.

I think the most important thing is to be proactive and communicate, everyone in this business has been stiffed once or twice and most of us get pretty nervous when there are delays, because occasionally they have become permanent. (epassporte, etc.)

But in every case where there was bad news the communication went to hell first, followed by easily disproved lies and finally silence.

So to differentiate yourself, be communicative, be honest, and get a backup plan in place.

It's interesting Paxum and Payoneer using the same bank, yet Payoneer doesn't have those issues and is generally more reliable.

I feel your pain bro, we do 1 wire a month to cover all affiliate payments and always make sure there is as little as possible in the account left. It's fingers crossed every time the wire goes out.

Is Paxum making a movie? I'm sure it will be a great one!

I remember this one movie, that supposedly pulled in all of $754,301,
the only draw back was that it costed $20 million to produce...

Same here. Since the 6th of October the uploading wire of my business partner is kind of lost somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle. We have submitted a shitload of tickets, all resulting in the same answers: "We have forwarded your inquiry to the accounting department, wait for an answer, we guarantee no time frames".

Ruth, what if neither paxum "knows" where my money is, nor the bank can pull the wire back? Who will pay me? I don't remember the terms to say "if we or anyone between your bank and us fuck up your money, you'll have to eat it".

Sorry for the tone. I'm getting real pissy, and not because something went wrong but because paxum's staff obviously acts like they have all the time in the world. FYI, I don't have as many rainy day funds, from which I will soon have to start paying my bills. Put your self in my shoes please before turning on your sarcasm machine.
