Porn movie trailer size and lengths

Wondering what is the perfect size, format, and length for Porn movie trailers?

My trailers are around 1 minute long and almost 200 MB and they are mp4 format. My newest trailer I been trying to upload since last night is 523mb and 6 minutes long and I think its going to crash my server when traffic hits it or make my bandwidth go threw the roof and wondering how to scale it down without losing quality or what to do?

I am on a dedicated server with 500gb dualcore but think that will fill up fast at this rate.

I'm not sure what perfect is, but those files are pretty big. Take a look at other sites whose trailers you like and see what length seems good to you. If the site allows the trailers to be downloaded do that to check out resolution and file size, then adjust your mp4 encoding to get something similar.

I been doing that but it seems everyone is different. I am wondering what the standard is. Also now the problem is most tubes want 6 minutes or longer on a trailer to put you on the home page.

I don't know that there is a "standard", unless you're talking about a specific site's requirements.

For a 6:05 minute clip, try 720x480 (or 848x480) encoded to a file size of about 70 MB, or 1280x720 encoded to a file size of around 100 mb, and see how they look for you. For even smaller files, try an image size of 640x360 (may be too small for what you want).

One way to save bandwidth is to put one full resolution clip (say 1902x1080) up as an example, then use lower resolution clips for everything else.

trailers are all about hitting the sweet spot, get viewer hyped about the content and not show to much.
It also depends on what kind of trailer are we talking about. I like my single scene trailers to be 40-60sec, which is a nice window to keep the viewer interested from start to the end.
Solo girl site owners like 2+ min trailers which then need to be thematically split into few parts. Usually differentiated by different music and the editing pace.

The tube clips I wouldn't call trailers at all because they are edited differently.

If you are worried about file size, experiment with smaller dimensions and lower bitrates. Sometimes you an reduce the file size a lot and still have a nice video quality.

Depends on your target demographic.

For a russian audience...make it about 5" - and 30 secs long.

Yea thanks guys! I am learning and just got a 6 minute video from 523mb to 138mb just by changing it from 1920x1080 to 854x480 and it looks the same to me.
