 Fun hypothetical question. If every adult site were a publicly listed stock. Which 5 would you invest in? There is one restriction you can only pick two of the same type of stock (ie 2 tube sites, or 2 cam sites or 2 billers). |

Mastercard & Visa could change the rules at any time. (Commercial Risk) Various countries may outlaw Internet Porn or make it more difficult to access (Sovereign Risk) Most corporate structures of big porn companies involve tax havens. (Local Taxation Risk) |

I would pick one in each major area for diversification:
1. Billing company 2. Traffic broker 3. Tube site 4. Content site (paysite) 5. Cam Studio (And not necessarily in that order.)

If every adult site were a publicly traded stock - we'd have all the historic data, press releases and every metric commonly available to make such a decision. Asking this question to most of these people is sinply asking "what/who do you like" and not "who has built a really solid company, solid management team and have a time proven plan for consistent r future growth". As time has proven, great coding, great photography/content, great design or great PR does little for longevity in this industry if those at the helm aren't extremely competent at running a business and staying ahead of the trends.

Seems there is a general consensus about top cam companies and billing companies.
Some would invest in top tubes, some not. Few mentioned content producers. I have to agree with the general consensus, and say nothing new or different from the other guys. For cams the complete list is here: Complete list of cam sites existing, all of them - GoFuckYourself.com - Adult Webmaster Forum From that list, I would either bet for the top 5, or, buy 5 of the mid-lower sites and merge them together, it may cost less than buy 1 of the top, and end up nice, but, there's no real M&A geniuses in adult space it seems Issue of tax havens: there was VAT dramas for AFF/Streamray years ago, and for Fabian/Manwin more recently, for example. We do pay the VAT since the start and it is painful, may lower profits a 20% in EU sales, but we passed TAX inspections getting even compliments from them, that's so cool, we're happy to be 20% less rich. Or are we just pussies? Question for investor: there are 2 companies to chose from, one tricks tax but shows 30% more profit, other is paying it all but shows 30% less profit, would you invest in what company if you're for short period investment or for getting dividend as long as it comes? Honest answers...

Mojohost because a company with customer service like they provide will always grow Blacked.com/tushy.com these sites blew me away, and I can't wait to see their next release And Porntube/4tube simply because these guys do it right and have a very clear vision And if it was a controlling stake, both met-art and X-art

Doesn't matter what your strategy is or how awesome the balance sheet and income statement and growth rate are because adult stock is artificially deflated. Any porn company which chooses to IPO, especially in the US, is just demonstrating that it's leadership doesn't understand the market or thinks the PR is worth the bother.

I honestly don't see any that convince me they'll grow or do better a few years from now. The free model is taking over slowly and while a site may profit from doing that as tubes did, MFC/CB, ... I don't know how long it will last.
Perhaps short term investing would yield a profit. |
