Asked whether he could be any character in "Star Wars," he first noted that he liked all the characters and then didn't hesitate.

He says he plans to direct movies, "but not movies that will be shown anywhere."

I read that "notes" killed his passion for the franchise.

I do hope he's getting some sort of royalties from Disney though, I think he is. Star Wars is plastered everywhere in every imaginable form here thanks to the overwhelming marketing and distribution of Disney.

As I type this I am looking at mini statues of Darth Maal, Luke Skywalker, Obi One and Chewbacca. Bought them inside chocolate eggs. There is a set of 8. If anyone wants to get some for their kids, PM me. They are less than $5 each plus mailing which is not expensive.

good cause we hate him too! Fuck him and his level of control freakishness. Anyone remember when he said he wouldn't put Star wars on DVD cause this or that reason? I do and I bought Star wars EP 1 on import LaserDisc for that reason.. He did the same thing when it came to blu ray. Eventually he let greed change his mind and gave into DVD and Blu Ray. Don't get me started on the fact you can't get the original movies anymore only the SE versions..

The guy was Taylor Swift's role model growing up. They both lock up and sue their fans cause they don't like their fans making fan sites or anything that infringes on their trademark of every word from their movies or songs.

Ok so he made 2 good movies, 1 movie that was just ok, and 3 terrible ones. Fuck how he feels, he's got billions. I seriously doubt he cares how anyone else feels.

I disagree, I think he does care how people feel. I think he is hurt by it and displays a deep bitterness towards fans. However, the fans are what really makes the money and he should have known better then to jerk us around with crap like jar jar and the cartoonish yoda fight scenes.

his biggest mistake was thinking he could write the prequels on the fly and by himself. He in turn rushed the script and it was so full of holes and confusion it became impossible to bandaid in post production. You can say he lost it all you want but he took his time and used outside help with the clone wars cartoon series and if you ever have checked it out it is actually really well done. Far better than any of the 3 prequel movies.

True in a way i suppose but, the signs of him losing the plot were already evident in the "Special Editions" of the original movies.

Some welcome changes/improvements yes, but some horrific additions aswell...

Very true. I recently watched the new versions and was pretty disgusted. In "new hope" when they are in the spaceport and Han is talking with Jabba, horrible special effects were added.

Moral of the story, Lucas with full control and no filters equals bad. Lucas with Kasdan, filters and help equals good. I consider him the Will Farrell of directors. Excellent when restrained and not allowed to go full retard.

Yeah that was bad effects but i do understand why they wanted to add that scene. They should just have done it better.

I Agree. The scene you mentioned also stood out. When i saw it, I was like, I am supposed to be scared of someone who looks like they can't even walk? The way Obi-Wan was stumbling along the boulders was pathetic. Cheapened everything for me.
