So hillary is out of the 2016 President race.

she wiped her email server permanently clean sometime after she was asked to return her public record to the State department.

I never underestimate the Clinton's ability to overcome a scandal nor people's willingness to believe what they want and blindly vote.

If the option is between Bush or Hillary.. then the best option is to not vote. Neither will be good for the country and I sure as hell wouldn't vote for either of them.

She should have used a government email account for *Official US Government* business. There probably is no dark conspiracy here but her lack of good judgment overshadows any other qualities she has.

Until voters consider the alternative that is.

Elections nowadays are always about choosing the lessor of two bad options.

This is my assumption on it as well. I don't know what the actual rule is with this stuff, but far as I'm concerned the US.gov is her employer. Much the same as any govt employee or elected official.

It should be standard practice that all govt employees/elected/appointed officials should be required to use an "official" govt email.

It's bad judgement to not do this and even if she's on the up and up it just screams that she's trying to hide something. The very fact that she went through the witch hunts with her Husband should make her want to do everything possible to be in the open with this kinda stuff.

wanna see just how bad the republican feild is? there isn't one on the radar that can beat her despite the email thing....youd think that would send a message to those fuckups just how badly out of touch they are.... instead you have a moron like Bobby Jindal heraldin Phil Robertson as some sort of ideal on values instead of the uneducated moron he is.

This is the truly sad part. It's no secret that I can't stand the Republican party, but I'd still love them to at least put up even a half way competent option rather than the fucking lunatics they always run.

I've yet to see a libertarian whom is less crazy than the crazy Republicans.

I'm not against libertarians, but honestly they seem to be a bit too extreme in their thinking on many subjects..

I'd just be happy is there was a option whom wasn't crazy and wasn't owned by big business. I mean I thought it was great the way Ron Paul for example raised money from "normal people" however he was a fucking fruit loop.

She said the other week in that press conference feeding frenzy that she had deleted all personal emails from that server. Frankly I don't think her old amazon tracking numbers and notes to her daughter are any assholes business. Just going to have to get on with our lives I guess.

Also, you say in your post that she deleted them after she was asked to turn over her public record. Sounds like the right time to do it since they are not part of the public record.

Says who? Says only her. They didn't even go email by email to make that determination, just did a search for keywords, and deleted the rest. She lost the right to her only having the say on this, when she broke federal policy and ran both work and private emails together on her own private server.

Could all the emails she deleted be only private in nature? Sure. But we are taking only her word on it.

They are entirely the public record. In fact she worked for the state department, who requested the emails, and the specific emails requested by the state department relate the Benghazi.

No. The best option, if you like neither party, is to vote third party.

If just FIVE PERCENT of the vote went Green or Libertarian or other third party, it would drastically change the playing field financially. A 5% hurdle is achievable and you are not wasting your vote.

Not voting is irresponsible.

so true...yet so few sheeple have the intelligence to see beyond the "wasted vote" bullshit that both parties perpetuate.

You need to distinguish between big L and little l, if you are discussing political parties. One is a political party and the other is a set of ideologies.

If you just define libertarian as whatever you personally think is crazier than a Republican, you aren't talking about the Libertarian party or voting.

Ron Paul ran as a Republican.

What is crazy or extreme about Gary Johnson?

You know there are usually more than 2 parties on the ballot? Vote for the other party that is most likely to get the most votes, and maybe they can get enough votes to receive federal funds for the next election. That is a much better choice than not voting at all.

Taking $20 bets that she DOES win the nomination, then after she does, taking $20 bets that E Warren is NOT the VP, then after that, it is too close to call but taking $20 bets Bush does NOT win. Who wants to substantiate their position?

Yep, just as Scott Walker did, along with Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, Rick Perry, and Bobby Jindal. And lets not forget about the 22 million emails the Bush White House conveniently lost.

Why? This seems to be common.

It sounds logical but think about it for a moment. Jeb Bush was governor of Florida, a Republican, and all of his email should be owned by the state of Florida, right? But what happens when a Democrat becomes governor - does the other side suddenly have not only full access to all emails he ever sent out, but also has the legal right to publish them?

Maybe you are right. I mean, Boehner works for the Federal Government, right? And all of those emails are owned by... The Federal Government, RIGHT? And being as Boehner works for the Federal Government ALL official email should go through government servers, and are subject to review and can be published by the White House at any given time.

You see where I am going with this? Obama boy is in office now and should have access to every email ever sent by Bush. That can contain some damaging and embarrassing information for the Republican party. Emails sent by the Republican party should never be in control by the Democratic party unless there is a very valid reason.

You already see what's going on here - they are trolling for something, for anything, with the attempt to embarrass her just like they did with President Clinton and the entire Monica thing.

In the mean time, Hillary did what a lot of other government officials do, ran her own email server, handed over the data, and then wiped the server clean and re-purposed it. At the same time all they are doing is giving Hillary free advertising because her name is in the news all the time.

This is why nothing gets done in Washington DC - because the Republican party is too busy beating a dead horse over and over again.

Not voting is irresponsible.
Why would I vote for a third party which I do not like. That's silly..

After what happened with the Clinton's private life being investigated, Hillary's repeated "I don't recall" testimony -- it boggles my mind how she could be so stupid. If anything it gives the appearance of impropriety and shows her bad judgement.

No warrant is required for emails older that 180 days -- just a simple subpoena. Subpoenas require no probable cause -- they are used in discovery of evidence. All the more reason to not commingle your email.

It't not about commingling email. In the normal business world, your predecessor is not going to read every email you ever sent looking for legal issues or embarrassing information. In the political world it's just the opposite - The next Democratic governor of Florida is going to assign staff to go over every email the former Republican governor ever sent with the intention of embarrassing the Republican party. That's just the way politics works.

Let me tell you how things work: Put it writing you may have to own up to it -- in the real world or the political world -- or in a courtroom.

Both of them (Hillary and Jeb) are brainless and incompetent, IMHO.

I agree with you 100%.

However, in the political arena it's a bit different. Valid communication in the name of government business is a matter of course, but four years after such communication can be used against someone and made to look embarrassing.

From a political standpoint I do not believe this is an issue for Hillary. The Republican party is already attacking Hillary before she is officially running; It's way too soon. They should have blown this up thirty days before the election, not months before she's made an announcement about running.

the state department is already "attacking" hillary over it. that's because this is happening now, it's not happening a year from now.

So, even though you constantly post politics, there is no political party you like or candidate you like ever?

I'll ask again: what is crazy or extreme about Gary Johnson?

You are always on here promoting despair over action. No offense, but can you please remind me what you do in this industry?

They would have had to be insane to run Hillary, the democrats seemed totally disconnected about how a large segment of the population feel about her.

Now it's going to be a toad race between two OTHER candidates who don't represent any of my interests and I'm really just on the edge of my chair to see who it will be.

Cruz is, if anything, almost more horrifying except that he will support gun rights and the established immigration laws. I used to be liberal a long time ago but ever since Clinton every single part of the Democrat plank has driven me farther to the right.

But I think everyone can agree that we live in an increasingly disturbing oligarchy. There ARE extreme distinctions between the two parties however and I am not a socialist.
