Why Trump is WINNING !
While he does not have my vote, I do have to say what a marvel he is.
Beating the Republican field using good old fashion Republican Techniques. AND.... spending little to no money doing so ! If you only echo others FEARS, you can go far ! There is a lot of FEAR out there ! People are pretty mad, but at many different things. Anyone who can master focusing that anger on issues that might not be on the radar otherwise, that they have no intention or legal ability to do without Congress is just amusing me. But if you are one who does not like him, you had better start asking your congressman if he/she agrees with what he has been saying. And what they plan to do. It takes two branches to tango in this government. As far as I know, we have never elected a KING. Even in this day and age, it surprises me how many still do not know how their own government works. And willing to put blame on anyone, that someone starts pointing a finger at. Even if you are right about where the blame goes, where is the exact solution to change it ? I'm not interested in problems, I see the problems. I'm interested in solutions. And how your solutions will affect me ! Isn't that the core of voter discontent ? Perhaps I am missing something. The only person on either side of the isle that has proposed solutions has been Sanders. For whatever you might think of him. He has not changed his tune with the wind. I'm actually starting to enjoy watching CSPAN footage of him from 20 years ago and I find that hard to believe myself. He does seem to be a stubborn fighter. Must be Irish. And with the latest "NOT GOING TO DEBATE" issue, I think Trump would be a fool to get into that debate. After all, if you don't know your candidate by now after 5/6 debates, you probably will not ever know them. Either get/demand better debates or get some of those folks off the stage, or both. Shows just how much media control the insiders have. I am more curious if the outsider theme will apply to Congress the next 2 election cycles. That could have a more convincing effect, for me anyway. I'm just one who believes in putting more independents in congress to deny both parties a majority. It sure would stop grid-lock. Then perhaps, legislator's would legislate ! But what do I know.... I'm just a citizen and I am afraid too. |

The Donald has given the entire Republican field PTSD (Post Trump Stumping Disorder).

Trump is winning because he is controlling the media. Any time the news comes on it's all about Trump.
The news seems to be going in cycles. For a while there was some discussion about Hillary, but not recently. For a while it was all about Trump and Carson, and then even Carly for a bit. Now it's all about Trump and a little bit about Cruz. Trump is just dominating the news. The primary reason he is dominating the news is because a lot of people are stunned he is winning. Hell, I've watched the Republican debates just to see what stupidity Trump would spit out. ("I'm going to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it") At this point it's pretty clear Trump will have the Republican nomination and I am okay with this. I want to see Trump go head to head with a real politician. I think it will be entertaining when Trump is asked to discuss the benefits and problems of a ten year old trade agreement with a certain country - chances are Trump will have no idea what the trade agreement involved.

No, he's winning because he's telling us he's gong to solve problems that other politicians ignore. He's telling Americans he will keep us safe, he will prevent criminals from coming in to kill us and throw out the ones who are here. He'll also treat America like a business and cut the fat and bring more of our money back to us.
I'm not saying I support him, but if you're asking why he's winning THATS why, not media manipulation. Every other politician gives phony speeches and we all know nothing will get done because none of them have ever done anything. Donald is saying he's actually going to DO things that are good for America and not other countries and he's actually built massive success when these other politicians haven't built anything. |

All politicians tell us they are going to solve all of our problems. That what a politician does. Trump is just much better at telling us about him fixing our problem. At the same time, he isn't telling us how he is going to fix our problems. He says "I am going to build a wall" and acts like it's no big deal, but it really is a big deal. A huge deal. It will cost billions, take years to build, more money and staff to maintain, and will still be mostly ineffective. They will just go over it, under it, or around it. In the end it will take years to build, cost a lot of money, and not work.

Remember when Romney was winning? This was the last presidential election. Polls are manufactured and everyone sucks it right up. This is the bought and paid for media telling you what to believe. Trump is good for making money, but he's a loser. Does anyone see his visage on Mount Rushmore? Do you think his portrait is going to be on the wall with Lincoln, Roosevelt, Eisenhower and Kennedy? Really?

It's called disruptive innovation. In business. Trump is a Master of it.
Usually I don't read CNN in a serious manner but this OP-ED is dead on. Why Donald Trump is beating Fox News -- and GOP rivals - CNN.com (CNN)If you understand nothing else about Donald Trump, understand this: He has a particular mindset we see all the time in business -- he's "the disrupter." The disrupter is someone whose entire "brand" is to break the mold, to turn the way we do things on its head. Amazon did this with retail, Uber did it with taxi services, Airbnb did it with travel, Tinder did it with dating, Slack is doing it with email, Spotify is doing it with music, peer-to-peer lending is changing banking. And Trump is disrupting politics. Disrupters don't fix what's broken because they don't innovate from inside the system. They break the mold, change our thinking about the mold and then hand us the new rules for how things work. |

Except they don't ignore it. They understand real life and know there is no easy answer. People want easy and they want it now. Well good luck with that.
