Seems like VR Porn would only need an 180 degree angle, as even with 'normal' vr videos tilting your head all the way around or constantly looking back, swiveling is kind of annoying. Looking from side to side through the VR glasses, definitely cool, just not so sure about a full on 360 degree angle needed. Sure you could say there will be girls behind you as well, that would mean at least 5 girls in the shoot because 3 would fit in a 180 degree video easily.

Any thoughts on shooting 360 degree vs 180? Any decent cameras available besides the clusterfuck of attaching 6-10 gopro cameras together? I have a Ricoh Theta S, it's decent but no where near "HD" video quality.

If centralized in a gangbang, yes a 360* view would be essential, however, I'd have thought a normal 1080p HD or 4k camera would be ideal, then to have the VR perspective centralized into a center point, and zooming into areas would be more ideal than a wide lens or 180* camera.
