You need to look at with either google cardboard, gear vr or if you have them Oculus glasses. The browser on Porn Hub does not do it justice. You really don't get the whole fantastic experience otherwise.

There won't be 1000s of tubes that can just rip the videos and put them up for free. Of course there will be some piracy and some sites that will put up full videos, but not in the scale as it is with normal porn. There is a real chance of keeping this mainly exclusive (behind paywalls).

Within a year or two almost everyone will have a VR device (they already come with the latest Samsung phones and as mentioned before you can get the simple cardbox versions for as low as $10 and they work pretty well).

I watched a bunch today with the Samsung Gear / Galaxy 6 combo. Some were ok, others unwatchable. Overall I am not a fan of the VR POV shoots, I feel it creates some tracking issues and the low rez makes it a bit creepy.

VR will be huge though and in my opinion and this is a solid first step. That being said I think it is far from tube-able content from a user perspective and from the tube's perspective it only sets up as being a loss leader. The traffic will be there, however a 6 minute clip worth watching in your HMD will not return their dollars spent on traffic and them eventually separating out VR ads. Any advert I saw in my HMD was totally wasted as no one is going to buy from there. It will be an interesting space. I have so many other thoughts, but why let the competition know.

I went through a few of the Badoink videos. Some thoughts.....

One annoying thing is that the center of the video seems to shift, so I might need to change positions to even see where the image is.

The best parts of the video for me, by far is when the girl is on top and she's right in your face with her hair hanging down. Looks like she's right there. My wife checked it out also (she's been a with a girl before), and that angle seemed to be her favorite also. I actually had a hard time getting the cardboard rig from her...I had to chase her around the couch and it was pretty funny until she tripped over our Labrador retriever and barely avoided a nasty fall.

While I think this is great, I hope porn producers don't get the idea that this is what porn will become. I actually don't like POV videos and I think it usually ruins what could be a good scene, although for VR it's great. I think if you combine this with the stuff that POVD does it would be amazing. But anyway, I like orgy videos and seeing the girl's entire body while she gets fucked... so it would be cool to have a virtual orgy where you could walk around and spectate.

Some solid insights here. I also had the "center shift" issue. I had to constantly reset the view otherwise it just felt odd. This can be solved with eye tracking and the like. I like the navigable orgy scene idea.

yeah...fucking would be going on all over the place whether you're looking at it or not. Missed a cumshot? Too bad, you should have been on the other side of the orgy. Don't even know if it's possible to do that without having cameras everywhere, which would ruin the illusion if one camera sees another. But I don't even know how this VR footage is made, so maybe I'm wrong.

It would probably only be possible with 3d animation, because it could be done in realtime OpenGL where the app would move the camera when you move. Maybe Unity or Unreal engine would accomplish it.

Imagine a Hentai freak who is able to go into the lair of a tentacle beast and spectate from any spot while it violates a Japanese schoolgirl. Not my thing, but someone would surely love that.

Just saying that people using VR say that 90fps makes it look smoother and no motion sickness. Of course you need better processing power to make it work..
Or upgrade the SD card in his phone if possible if storage space is an issue.

Augmented reality would be insanely hardware intensive. Rendering Hentai porn is great and there are 3D modeling possibilities, but both are niche and will be slower to monetize.
