Buying traffic - easier than dealing with affiliates

1. The traffic is productive, and if it isn't we stop buying it.
2. We don't abruptly end the campaign for arbitrary reasons, we end it on our time.
3. We make more
4. We don't have to deal with a 3rd party and be a slave to the traffic.

No wonder affiliates have almost entirely died off in the industry. The entire notion of paying more for less doesn't make a ton of sense.

Oh... That's why affiliate programs are working with both if they're smart.

Buying traffic and having good affiliates go hand in hand.

Huh? When you have affiliate sending traffic, it's like having a exclusive right to that traffic, and you are not paying upfront for it, and you pay only for actual sales, not just for clicks in case if it does not convert. Plus when you buy traffic you can be outbided by any time and being kicked out of biz

Good affiliates multiply your revenue. If you are a good media buyer, of course, you should do that too. You probably can't buy traffic from your best affiliates because they can make more promoting programs. So why should they sell, unless they give you a bad price?

If I was guessing I would say that quite a lot of the traffic you are purchasing is being generated by some sponsors affiliate. Are you the only Asian cam site on the entire Internet? Everyone is entitled to make up their own rules.

Bingo. What happens when Mr. I don't need affiliates, actually needs affiliates one day and they aren't around anymore? You think he'll blame himself?

Because you're an affiliate, talking about how bad it is to deal with them.

Competitors typically don't work together unless there's a mutual financial benefit.

That said, I don't believe this industry is fucked, it's just changed a lot in 21 years.

Keep buying traffic and eventually you will buy some that sucks as much as any affiliate.

I agree - which is too bad...

I love affiliates. I honestly think they're the best people to work with as they provide innovations and push for better tools/ conversions. That ultimately means more money for everyone.

Long live affiliates!
