I've been tinkering with digital painting the last month (pics)
I've always been inspired by the insane concept artists out there, and finally decided to really utilize my wacom cintiq and try to build a decent foundation.
So the last month I've been focusing on learning a variety of art related stuff, and made the following 7 pieces.. The first one is absolute garbage:  Disappointed with that attempt, I realized I needed to focus on more simple compositions..  A little bit better.. Pretty good stuff....and the first one is my favorite. Art is subjective, as they say.
Photoshop is great, but if you really want to work with tools which respond in more "painterly" ways, you should look into the many digital paint programs out there. They're all dirt cheap and have tools created with artists and painters in mind.
