Big payday for George Zimmerman - $138,900

George Zimmerman auction for gun that killed Trayvon Martin ends - CNN.com

Quote:
George Zimmerman's auction for the gun that killed Trayvon Martin ended Tuesday, with the final bidder possibly offering to pay $138,900 for the firearm, according to the website that hosted the auction.

"George Zimmerman has informed United Gun Group that he currently is in the process of vetting several offers and verifying funds," the online marketplace tweeted.
Reached for comment, Zimmerman directed CNN to his website. There, in a statement addressed to "fellow patriots," Zimmerman said the auction was successful and had raised funds for worthy causes. He thanked the United Gun Group and its owner for having the "moral fortitude in hosting my firearm auction."

Agreed. What has to be broken inside you that you decide you want to spend $138K to own a gun a douchebag used to kill someone?

The funds will be verified.

The item will be delivered & signed for . . . and Zimmerman will receive a chargeback for the item a week later.

The day he receives the chargeback is the same day the gun will be delivered anonymously by carrier to Trayvon Martin's family with a note of respect and condolences for their loss

Two weeks later they will have it back on auction with their son's favorite gangsta rap CDs and jewelry he stole in the school as bonus pack.

there is a market for serial killer memorabilia. when bonnie & clyde were killed, a crowd assembled & picked apart their bodies for trophies. why? My grandfather, a jew, collected nazi stuff.

wouldnt classifying them as sick be morally arbitrary? look what other things people love...rappers, movie stars, POTUS candidates under investigation by FBI. how sick is that?

With all the accept LGBT, PC run amok, who are you to judge...right?

A HUGE market for that stuff.

And serial killers/fans have a spidey sense about eachother, w̶e̶ they all know it's just a matter of time before Zimmerman's true nature/past crimes are found out, ore before he snaps again

BTW, anyone offer Zimmerman a porn contract yet? Seems he'd fit right in the rough sex niche.

A person could argue that serial killers, Bonnie and Clyde, and Nazi's are all people that have had an affect on the landscape of our society. While the Martin/Zimmerman case was big in the news when it happened, it hasn't changed anything and most people have forgotten about it. It wasn't something overly notorious. At its core it was one asshole with a history of violence who willingly put himself into a dangerous situation and ended up killing someone.

That said. I also believe people who collect serial killer memorabilia have something wrong with them as well. I also wouldn't classify someone who is interested in or even enamored with movie stars, musicians etc in the same category. They are not similar in any way.

Ultimately I stand by my question and wonder what is wrong with someone who wants something like this.

You seem to know something about obsession. Are you able to type without mentioning Hillary Clinton?

Opinion.

Regardless on personal opinion, he was covered by the "Stand your Ground" in Florida. He sought out trouble and found it. Whatever. He's an asshole and has been setup by his ex-wife or girlfriend and arrested. He can't stay out of trouble or out of the limelight. Think like this. He can't get hired anywhere for liability reasons, he's well known and people will say it's "bad business" if they see him working at said establishment. Auctioning a gun used to kill is poor taste. But, if he uses that money to survive or to buy a house and disappear then he's in the right direction.

A lot of descisions made are poor taste but that's life.

I collect Nazi memorabilia.

I surely do not agree with anything they did, and don't get off on the violence or death that took place. For me it's an amazing period of history.

I agree that it likely will be hard for him to get a decent job due to his notoriety. I also happen to think he is a piece of garbage that will likely, eventually, end up in jail for some reason or another. I don't blame him for selling it and trying to support himself. I just find myself wondering what kind of a person would want to own it.

Zimmerman isn't a serial killer. IMO in 10 years no one will remember this piece of shit.

I am pretty sure I could not stand Trayvon after reading some of his text messages and all, but, I would never have killed him for being annoying and I think the Zimmerman guy had far less than good reason to shoot him.

I am against the shooting and I am against zimmerman - the ONLY way I believe it was a legal shoot is if zimmerman peed himself and panicked and shot the guy, but even then, what a pussy

Myself I have been in sticky scary situations and there are several times not panicking saved me from squeezing a trigger since I'm not a pussy ass little hoe . Some guys will just start firing

Then some people think he killed him for being black or for being annoying
I don't know
I DO know he's tried to profit from the whole thing
I can tell you for SURE no matter HOW fucked I am, after taking a human life, I would not ACCEPT money in any way as a result of it. He should donate the money to something . The family, perhaps . Or at least share it.

Well the ONE way I would accept money after taking a life would be if I needed the money to defend myself in court. I'd accept the money, then.
But I would not have taken a life in those circumstances.
If I ever kill you it's because you were trying to kill me or someone else who is a good person. That doesn't mean you won't be charged these days- though.

Hmm
When I read about it (several times) that's not how I remember it being told
If some fool was on top of me beating on me I'd probably shoot them
I don't think I'd say words at all

My understanding is that there was a confrontation that led to a fight. Martin ended up on top of Zimmerman and was hitting him in the face. Zimmerman had some damage to his face and head and said Martin told him he was going to kill him so he shot him in self defense.

Supposedly his wounds and the gunshot corroborate most of this. The problem is, since there were no witnesses, we only have Zimmerman's account of how the fight started and what really went on during the fight.

In the end, Zimmerman willingly put himself in harms way and ended up killing someone.

There was 5 burglaries within a month or something like it.

I'm not taking sides here but how in the hell has someone not shot him by now? With all the people in rage you would think he would have been blown away a long time ago. I don't get it.

You don't know
I've never bailed or failed anyone
One time some fools stole a trailer from me
Then I left some weedeaters in my truckbed and waited in the bushes for them
They never came back after then
How's that for neighborhood watch

Meanwhile fuck all of the neighbors I had, then, assholes

He was doing a neighborhood watch, saw Martin and called the police because he thought Martin was acting suspiciously. The 911 dispatcher told him not to pursue Martin and to wait in his car for the police. He chose not to listen and went after him. At some point the fight happened. Zimmerman said Martin was hiding, waiting for him and attacked him. Since his is the only word we have we can't know if that is true or now.

What we do is know is that had he just waited in his car none of this would have happened.
