Reccomened a Program to backup bought DVDs for mac please
OK, I know I'm opening myself up for abuse and speculation, but heres the situation.
3 year old, severely autistic, likes watching kids DVDs. Now at the age where he gets hold of the DVD and ejects it, then plays with the disc. Disc gets dirty / scratched etc - Wont play. Obviously bought DVDs have copy protection so prob not easy to copy. I'm looking for a simple program that will do a copy-4-copy so he can use the copy while I keep the original safe. I did google etc, but what I found seems to want to do all sorts of other stuff like convert for iPhone and output as mp3 etc, but I just want a simple copy to copy. Any recommendations for a simple straight forward all in one program that will do this? I'm sure some exist that people use to copy and sell fake DVDs but I wouldn't know about that. I have about 5 DVDs coming from amazon and this time, I'd like to give the child copies as opposed to the originals will minimal fuss on my behalf. As such I'm more than happy to purchase a programme. Just need a recommendation. Thanks |

Make Exact Backup Copies of Your DVDs | PCWorld
I personally buy the DVD for the kids and if they like it then I go download the torrent off kickass torrents or piratebay so I can put a copy of it on a usb. That way they have like 50 movies on a single usb to watch on laptop or xbox or whatever and can take it wherever we go. |

just buy them from charity shops for a pound, that's what I do for my young 'un, she gets bored of them after a week or two anyway.

Do what I do and put the dvd player up on a high shelf... Otherwise I think handbrake for Mac can copy anything.
