The Playboy mansion has been sold to Hefners neighbor.

"According to the terms of the sale, Mr. Hefner has the right to remain in the mansion for the rest of his life. After Mr. Hefner’s tenancy ends, Mr. Metropoulos intends to connect the two estates into a combined 7.3-acre compound, the representative said." SOURCE

Does it sound almost like the mansion will be gone after Hefner passes and they combine the properties? It should be a museum, they'd make a fortune charging admission and hosting events.

Not sure I agree and I have been to a few parties there.

They don't put out enough sani-cans. Guests use the grounds instead.

The grotto has strains of mold that are still marvels of science.

The floors are suspiciously soggy, carpeting that hasn't changed since 1973 that never dries...

Although I did get to see Metallica play there when "Orgazmo" premiere party was held at the Mansion. That ranks high on the list of super awesome so I can say it does have its merits.
