Trump supporters - What is Trump going to accomplish as President?

If Trump was elected (), what are some things he is going to accomplish as President?

Here is your best chance to win over a few who are still sitting on the fence.

Go...

Trump is going to increase the size of government by building a huge wall to keep the Mexican out.

The government will then increase more with people hired and infrastructure created to deport the illegal Mexicans.

The government will then in crease more to stop immigration of all Muslims.

Taxes will then increase for middle class Americans and small businesses to pay for the increase in government while billionaires and billion dollar corporations will be free of taxes.

Trump will accomplish this if elected

We don't owe trillions. That is total bullshit.
As a matter of act, if the West had not invested to build a modern society on mainland China, everyone there would still be walking the streets in grey pajamas looking for 3 hots and a cot.

Trump is beginning to look more and more presidential every day. I am sure after a moderately long adjustment period, he would do "okay".

However, the fuck ups would be constant. We saw an example of this yesterday - The most important part of this speech that his wife will EVER give was a complete fake. Then it seemed she lied about something... Originally she said she wrote it herself, and then she said she had speech writers who wrote it for her. Where is the truth? If all of this isn't bad enough, their cover up or their attempt to walk this back was, well, ass backwards.

This is the way his entire administration would be run. Imagine what happens when a small incident in the Middle East or Asia or Africa and he'll make a stupid comment which then dominates the news for the next three days. Again, he'll try to walk it back but will only make it worse. His entire (potential) administration would spent the bulk of it's time trying to un-fuck stupid things Trump has done or said, he will be caught up in constant controversy, and it will be a huge disaster.

A small part of me wants him to win just so we can see what happens.

Trump will accomplish very little. Odds on he will be the worse President for a long time. His problem would be the two houses blocking him. Even so, his ideas are bullshit to appeal to bullshit eaters.

Not that Clinton is any better. Unless Bill takes charge.

he will balance the budget, put the govt balance sheet on a more stable path, if he gets a cooperative congress. he's even threw out the idea of limited default to renegotiate the nations debt level. its debatable whether thats a good idea. i appreciate he's thinking about such things, out of the box solutions.

i dont think hilary has uttered a sentence on the nations budget.

How will he balance the budget?

Cuts and tell us where, or taxes?

Trump could be elected. I never overestimate the uninformed American voter. I only expect hyperbole from Trump -- an appeal to his supporters. He is a loose cannon -- shooting his mouth off and changing his mind, retrenching his positions to suit the daily situation. Luckily their are checks and balances in the US Constitution. 3 Supreme Court seats might need to be filled -- Trump could make a difference here, or Hillary -- this election is more important than just personalities.

I am working on a strategy should he win. Should Hillary win it is going to be more stable or slower changes. Hedging bets.

US policy will only affect my investment decisions and my US based assets.

all presidents want to balance the budget, Obama said the same thing. But when put in these positions they get eyes on the real number and the real problems, some that are not known and run deeper and they can't get it done all the same. This problem is bigger than any one man or women and will take decades to correct. It's like a candidate saying they want to fix the environment... well i guess they say that shit too, but it's an issue that can never be fixed by one person, one term, or even two. They need to take steps forward with those, sure, but a focus on the problems that CAN be resolved today and in their reach instead would be more important.

I'll never understand why so many people who claim to be experts on the economy don't understand how investing in government bonds works (or why a huge entity such as China would do it).

You're asking the wrong question.

The right question is, how many wars will Hillary start when she becomes president?
A) 3
B) 5
C) WWIII
D) All of the above

I think a president Trump would be more cock-blocked by Congress than Obama. Congress is the real problem with the country imho.

Renegotiating debt is what bankrupts do. Problem is it fucks up their credit rating for the future. Third World Nations do it as a last option.

"The American Dream" arose when the US and the West were export giants. Now they're import giants.

It was a time when most had a decent job paying decent wages and consumed less than people do today.

Today the US imports far too much, the number of decent jobs is shrinking. Where once were thriving neighbourhoods there are now slums and area rife with gangs and people with little future. Because it's been getting bad for a long time and will continue to worsen unless Americans are willing to change.

The notion that building China up with American jobs is a good thing, shows how bad it is. Same goes for everyone Third World Country. They will never be major customers unless you're a banker and eventually they will own our banks.

How much does Trump owe to the banks US and overseas? They will tell him what they want. And it has nothing to do with reducing debt, they're the people that created most of it.

For me, if he puts conservative judges to the Supreme Court, that is good enough. Any other things he achieves is a bonus.

This is a huge part of the problem - he hasn't told us what he is going to do or how he is going to do it. Instead he makes a vague statement or a bullet point plan.

His plan to fix the VA could have been written by any high school kid. It has some great ideas, but that's just what they are - "ideas"....
  1. Fire the corrupt and incompetent VA executives that let our veterans down
  2. End waste, fraud and abuse at the VA
  3. Modernize the VA
  4. Empower the caregivers to ensure our veterans receive quality care quickly
  5. Hire more veterans to care for veterans
  6. Embed satellite VA clinics in rural and other underserved areas
(source)

All of this sounds great on paper. But the reality is... It's all talk.

He is going to fire the incompetent VA executives? And replace them with.... More incompetent executives? (Just like the ones he hand picked at Trump University?) What he is really going to is sack the guy in charge and replace him with another name from a list someone handed him.

End waste and fraud? Modernize the VA? That sounds like great ideas until you start denying people because we think they are fraud and they start turning around to sue the Federal Government, and Trump would look bad because he is denying Vets benefits. Modernize the VA? It will take six years, billions of dollars, and be a complete cluster fuck. Trump doesn't understand he cannot just hire a firm to do this - There are laws involved here, a bidding process, etc, and it will be horrible.

I heard identical thoughts in the late 80s, when reagan ran up the debt to 4 trillion, & people said it will take decades, is complicated etc.

as soon as a GOP congress was elected in the 90s, the budget was balanced within a couple years.

sadly the GOP abandoned fiscal prudence in the name of free wheeling spending during the bush years. as a result, the tea party was born. out-of-control spending is the key tea party plank.

donald trump is the leader of this fringe & embodies everything about the tea-baggers. thats why the establishment hates him, bottom line. he threatens their systematic looting of the federal treasury by various special interests, resulting in the debt. well his rhetoric is threatening. whether he will clean up the lobbying mess is an open question, probably not.

he will balance the budget. the liberals & the media shills will whine its on the backs of the poor. the usual boilerplate they always hurl when someone wants to spend only what comes in.

Not that I am a supporter but he wont accomplish shit because he is a political outsider and the uniparty wont go along with anything he wants to do unless they are dragged kicking and screaming by the voters.

Our forefather installed a system of checks and balances that keeps any part of government from becoming too powerful by pitting them against the other parts. Even in this day an age of professional politicians none of them want to give up any of their power and that is the only reason they havent gotten a lot further than they have in usurping our freedoms.

All the people worried about Trump are worrying needlessly he wouldn't be able to sell congress on anything much beyond a raise for congressmen.

Hillary on the other hand knows how to play the game, as a result she is much more dangerous to your liberty.

I see Trump as the lesser of the two evils simply because they will spend so much time and effort in-fighting that they wont have much left over to plunder our pockets.

That said Im not voting for Trump or Hillary Gary Johnson (L) has my vote

You have to be trolling. You couldn't be that wrong without doing it on purpose.

Modern factories are automated and needing a lot fewer people, they aren't dangerous and crappy. It's about $$$$$. Every import is money spent abroad, make them in the West with balanced trade between those countries and economies grow, wages rise, debt drops.

I've seen the transformation of the Czech Republic in the last 15 years. Built on Western EU jobs. Next time you come here, I'll show you Dutch Companies who relocated here because of the cheaper labour. But you must know how this works with your Third World studios earning money, even if it is a pittance.
