BBCODE version for those who don't want to click on my face
Here is the BBCode version for those that don't want to click on the above link.
PART 1 ![]() LEARN TO EARN MORE FOR EVERY VISITOR TO YOUR WEBSITE Most of you don't know me. I'm a behind-the-scenes type of guy. I'm a vice-president at CrakRevenue and am among the original team that launched the platform so many years ago. I have been living off of affiliate marketing for over 12 years now. Over the span of my career, I have been involved in countless IM projects generating over 9 figures in revenue. If there is one thing I know how to do, it's how to maximize revenue from a website. It's time I give back a little to a community that has given me so many great ideas! Note: This tutorial is meant for webmasters that already know the basics of making money online. These techniques can be applied to any content site regardless of niche or market. CALCULATING REVENUE This is the standard layout webmasters use when trying to monetize their website traffic. ![]() Most content sites have this layout with ads slapped into the header, sidebar, and below the content. CALCULATING RPM RPM stands for Revenue Per Thousand. This is the amount of money you earn per thousand visitors. Your goal as a webmaster is to maximize the amount of money you collect for every page impression on your website WITHOUT sacrificing user experience. Depending on the ad network used to monetize your site, revenue can be generated on a CPM (Earning per Thousand Impressions) or CPC (Earning Per Click Generated). We want to standardize our revenue calculations. To do this, we need to calculate an average value per 1000 impressions of your website. Note: values vary depending on the country your visitor comes from. The value of a visitor from the United States is much higher than the value of a visitor from India. To calculate your RPM, log into your ad network, select a sample period of time (for example: last week) and divide the revenue generated over the number of impressions divided by 1000. Revenue Impressions/1000 Note: Some ad networks will give you this information in their dashboard This gives you the RPM value (or CPM value) for your ad space. Do this for every ad space on your content page. Then add up all of the RPM values of every ad spot. This gives you an average RPM. Example: (Header = $0.50 RPM) + (Sidebar = $0.30 RPM) + (Footer = $0.20 RPM) = $1 RPM This means you’re earning on average $1 for every 1000 visitors to your site. HOW TO INCREASE YOUR RPM Below are a few suggestions on increasing revenue for every visitor. TIP #1 - Replacing your Related Posts section with paid ads ![]() Most websites have a Related Posts section. It could be your blog, tube site, web 2.0 splog, etc. It's a great way to get users to find more content on your site. However, it's also a great way to make extra money from your site on top of all other traditional monetization channels. Here's a screenshot of the earnings generated by placing native ads within the Related Videos section of one of my porn tube sites: ![]() All I had to do was mix in “plug style” ads with my Related Videos. It's a seamless integration that doesn't take away from user experience at all and makes me almost $2500 per week in extra revenue that I normally wouldn’t have made with traditional banner ads. In this example, I used my own native ad network: www.Plugz.co because it accepts both adult and mainstream publishers/advertisers. It’s also very easy to modify your ad zone to match the content of your site. However, other options are available:
Feel free to split test between different native ad solutions and see which one generates the best earnings. Don’t look at the CPC value, but calculate the RPM value the network provides. TIP #2 – Adding a Popunder Script ![]() Popunders are a controversial topic. Everyone hates them, but they pay so well! Earnings vary wildly from network to network. Here are 2 factors:
Installing the popunder code Most of the time, adding a popunder means adding a javascript code provided by the network to your page. Personally, I prefer managing my own popunder code that I know is ALWAYS up-to-date with the latest browser changes to make sure it always pops. Then I send the traffic to the network through a direct URL. You may need to contact your ad manager to do this. Another alternative is to activate the popunder feature on a Plugz.co widget. The popunder code will automatically be generated on your site and earnings will be added to your account. Its an easy way to get started. Where you can find the option in your widget settings ![]() Other popunder networks you can try: TIP #3 – Adding an Exit Intent Pop ![]() The exit intent pop is the less annoying version of the popunder. It only appears when a user’s mouse leaves the browsing area of the site (presumably to close the window or leave the site). It’s a last ditch effort to get your visitor to click on an ad before he leaves your site. You can increase your average RPM with this nifty little script: Http://Beeker.Io/Exit-Intent-Popup-Script-Tutorial You can modify the HTML in the pop to put whatever you want such as an email capture form, more ads, a special message, etc. If adding the code is too complicated, another solution would be to use the built-in Exit Intent feature in Plugz.co. It can be found in your widget settings. How to activate the Exit Intent Feature ![]()

PART 2
RE-EVALUATE YOUR RPM If you’ve used any of the 3 techniques listed above or added new ad zones to your site, be sure to re-calculate your new RPM in order to measure if the changes were worth the additional ads on your site. Did your RPM increase by 10%, but your returning visitors decreased by 20%? Or did adding a popunder skyrocket your RPM by 500% without affecting your visitor retention? These are things you need to know when making changes to your site. "That which is measured, improves" Questions If you have questions, please feel free to post them here. If you have suggestions for future tutorials I could write, please post it here as well. Good luck everyone!

If there's one thing I can always say without hesitation, Jason is a great guy to deal with and has been for years. If people have not already realized, he's one smart cookie as well.

Nice and simple explanation, but guess what.... The content space is so minimal this is ONLY good for tubes and cams, which BTW seem to be the way all the lemmings are now heading, .. But what about those sites which have real and converting content. This kind of cluttering with banners and popunders would frighten any serious purveyour of adult entertainment and thus NOT suitable for serious webmasters.
