![]() So I got a nvidia GT 730, fanless video card.
I simply wanted to extend my 3rd monitor to a 55 inch 4k tv. Well, I'm glad I didn't buy the TV, after installing the graphics card the motherboard automatically switched off the Intel i5-4440 HD 4600 graphics. The intel graphics were good, I was using an external usb to HDMI for the large 1080 screen I had. No matter what I do now though, there is no settings in the BIOS that allows the intel graphics to work in tandem with the Nvidia card. The only good thing that came of this is all 3 screens run 1080 off the silent card and I don't need to use the external usb to HDMI anymore. The external converter was heavy on CPU and couldn't handle full screen video viewing, the graphics card can on all displays. I wouldn't have bought the card if I knew it came to this. ): For $550 I would have thought the motherboard on this would have had that feature, computer is only 2 years old. Ah well... |
