I kinda agree with you. If so much wasn't at stake it would be kinda fun to see Washington in a panic if Trump was elected. All of their precious little power networks messed with? would be hella fucking entertaining.

Thing is though, Trump doesn't offer anything to remedy the issues that cause people to flock to him; he's the demolition candidate. Destruction can be necessary evil in furtherance of better, more constructive aims to follow, or it can be nihilism.

With Trump it is the latter. A Trump win won't resolve gerrymandering, it won't change the electoral college system. It won't bring back the middle class or decent-income working class jobs (another central foci amongst his base). He has no viable plan for any of this and his off the cuff opining in place of concrete, well-thought out plans would serve only to further stratify and fracture american society along class, citizenship and social race lines.

It also won't take the insanely high volumes of cash out of the nomination process, arguably one of the fundamental causes of all this.

For those who see appeal, not knocking you. I do see where you're coming from. To a point. either way I get an easy out as I don't have to vote.

I just honestly don't see the logic in electing a belligerent buffoon who, if he wins, will do so because of the money/media hype in the form of advertising dollaz for 24 hour news channels he brought to the table. aka the shit that helped get y'all here in the first place

Not voting for Hillary over here. My views fall more in line with the Green party. This will be the second time in a row Jill Stein gets my vote.

^^^preach

As a Canadian always back NDP over Green because the CA Greens are enviro-focused at the expense of people. can't wrap my head around that platform, my 'environment' includes fellow human beings, the welfare of whom also concerns me.

in contrast, US/Stein's Green is far more progressive on the human socio-econ tip. I would so cast an enthusiastic vote for her, if she had a chance in hell of winning

I wouldn't make the same choice as you, in this election, knowing that she won't win. So fucking respect you for your choice though

Ultimately, it is my hope to see the Democrat party unfuck itself within my lifetime. I'd like to see it be cleansed of the donna brazile's, the huma abedin's, tim kaines and hillary clintons along with all of their tired old sold out and corrupt ways. The only way I see that happening is if they suffer a devastating loss to someone as shitty as Trump. Allowing Hillary to take the win guarantees they won't even do at least a little bit of soul-searching.
I'd like to see it move in more of a Bernie Sanders, jill stein sort of direction... not just pay lip service to it.

If Trump wins I don't think he will fix much, But the Democrats may fix themselves.

the problem is, the green party aren't going to win. So your vote will be wasted.

If you want Trump as a role model for your country, continue to vote for who you decide. If not, realize Hillary does care for the people, elderly & youth. Paying her contributions & not demeaning women or people

A vote that was cast is never one that was wasted. IMO. I admire people that stick by their convictions... even in the face of hysteria.

I know she will not win, but it is my vote. I am choosing to vote for who my views align with. This is the first year where the green party will be on enough ballots to mathematically win, that is a big step in the right direction.

in the current state of affairs, agreed. see equal merit in Courtney's strategy as well though.

the fuck? no, she does not. she is very good at pretending to be socially progressive when need be publicly, her entire CV of public conduct runs contrary. HRC and Trump are very alike in that regard, spewing hypocrisy where needed, diametrically opposed to their public and private actions.

I do as well. would caution against choosing against people in furtherance of a cause meant to support them though.

Not at all. Too far left is like "black-bloc" anarchism or Maoism-third worldism imo

I disagree, I think she will be the new president, or at least hope.

However, agreeing with your thoughts regarding the green party and the ability to have a possible win, follow your heart, well played to you

absolutely true, hence my comment above agreeing with Courtney. I say, good luck to the green party & all who vote for them. Pleased you understood my point though. Thank you.

+1

I'd sooner vote for someone I believed in than this horseshit about wasted votes... even if my 'wasted' vote this time round means momentum gathers for that party to have a real chance 50 years from now. Could never, ever, vote for the 'lesser of two evils' - to me that's like being asked by a copper who has arrested/tried/convicted me of a crime I didn't commit, whether I want a punch in the mouth or a kick in the bollocks. No way am I taking part in that Haven't voted in a general election since I was 20, and highly doubt that will change before I die. I have HUGE respect for those that vote with their conviction.

Wow, a 1 on 1 copy from their propaganda, what a coincidence

Seriously, temperament? Never heard about that in an election until the Clinton camp decided to use that term... and you have that in your head now. Great example of the power of brainwashing to the weak minded
