Only people making money in porn is performers and tubes!

Performers want top dollar per scene typically min $600 on up per scene. Performers want to get paid like it's still 2001 and are out of touch with reality

Tubes steal the content or sites give them free content in hopes of getting some traffic and sales. Tubes don't pay shit for content so no overhead and all profit! Am I missing something here?

Yeah you said in another thread that you don't work in the industry remember? Maybe you're feeling us out to see the current cost of content production to see if you can afford to dip your Beverly Hills toes back in the porn pool?

There are some great sites making money. It's just that no one here has one.

Online porn spent the glory years from 1998 to 2008 worshipping traffic. which would have been good, if only they had not competed at giving away content to get it. Yes, even the game of getting traffic was dominated by who could give away the most content.

2008 the rise of free vs paid for, got supercharged. Instead of losing 50% of sales, we lost 99%. I'm generous with those ratios. Those paying $300 to $1,000 per scene and webmaster who thought they could create porn, were fucked or on their way to being fucked.

Today the customer will not buy because Tubes are better. And they're free. And that's the point. If you can't sell something that costs $1 a day, you're either a crap salesman or have a crap product compared to what others have.

The OP complains about models wanting $600 a scene. The ability to get the best out of that model in that scene is what determines you having a good product or a bad one.

Crap in crap out.

Rethink your approach to the product. Because conveyor belt porn isn't going to compete with Tubes with free bespoke porn.

No, it needs you to show that you have a clue at selling memberships to a porn site.

Something positive.

Those wanting a quick jerk off to anything that turns them on are so well catered for today, going after that market is stupid. The few who buy demand more, so give it to them.

The moment a model enters the studio, start filming her. Get BTS content that titillates customers and informs them of who the model and you are, what the build up is like and what you're going to do. Also, film her after the scenes. If she insists on faking everything like a ham porn actress, send her home. You pay real $$$ for real performances.

Make your site more than conveyor belt porn scenes stacked on top of another and more about what goes on behind the lens.

If only because you can no longer compete with Tubes.

No, the reality is performers can't get 5 shoots a week anymore and need to ask for $600 to pay the rent.

The other part you are missing is that it's not up to the performers to protect the content from tubes; that's your part.

You can lease a 4 million dollar mansion for $3,000 a week in Los Angeles making $600 per scene 5 days a week. Most shoots are multiple scenes so that could easily grow to $1200 on up per shoot.

We know people can shoot content. The problem comes when selling it.

$3,000 location.
10 scenes @ $600 for the girl and $200 for the boy.
Make up $200 per day
Food and drinks. $100

That's $12,500 for mediocre cut and paste porn. Can you shoot it well enough to sell it for $25,000? Are there many out there buying BG scenes @ $2,500?

So you don't keep track in your head of who's posting and their affiliations, all these years now, bummer. You never believe anyone when they say what they're doing and the result so there's really no point.

Here's a tip, goto the Vegas show. A lot of people burning money because they have it to burn.

So how much those 600/scene performers were charging when they used to do 5 shoots a week? 120 bucks?

Not denying that they have, but adult industry is known to have many show offs (showing off beyond their means etc, you have to be bling to attract partners etc).

Paul do your own homework. Nobody did it for me. The problem with you lately is that you deny reality. Many times people have told you what's working, posted links, stats, etc. and you deny what they say and pick everything apart in your denial insisting it's not true.

I've not been to Vegas for a while. I do agree about people trying to make so many trying to look bigger than they are. We can see the constant complaints here of site not paying people, closing affiliate programs, selling to the bigger people that paysites are on the decline.
