enomcentral worst support for domain registrars?
Years ago I got them with my hostgator reseller account, I had the same email account with them for years and now it won't work for login or to reset my password.
I call them and they always ask me a few questions then redirect me to "the right department." 30-60 minute waits with no results. I have to call them at 2am to talk to someone who will respond to me. Talked to night staff and he got nervous even after answering several questions correctly on my account. Got my driver's license and said he'd forward it to the verification team. 48 hours later nothing! No response or follow up. They keep passing the buck. Luckily I don't have anything that needs to be renewed for at least a month, but this is insane. I'm closing down all my hostgator accounts (They started billing me out of nowhere for dedicated IPs, among other things, on a reseller account I never asked for) I had to call them 5 times and finally after talking to my bank it got resolved. As a result Hostgator will lost my business after 5 years. They were good for small sites but things have gone awry over there. I've never had this much of a problem before, who do you recommend for domains and who hasn't given you any problems. CHRIST! Registrars with best support? Seems like a good way to make money, find random and quiet customers and then shadow bill them services they never signed up for after being loyal for years. I'm sick of this shit! |

Back in the day, "you only had ONE job", but with increasing competition and razor thin margins "registrars" have to value add a bunch of shit and cut costs just to make a profit. Support is probably going to be one of the first cost-cutting measures.
