Now, if an actual content producer selling his main wares suddenly slashed prices and started offering cut-price bargain basement deals, that would definitely raise flags. It's why I would buy from someone like Stefan G, but wouldn't buy from - oh I don't know, some has-been guy scrambling for cash and slashing prices across the board in 'last ever sale' sales every other month.

The samples looked fine, I had done biz with him before, and he sent me a HD of content (and not 'camgirl videos' but hardcore B/G scenes, some G/G and a few solo). The problem? No docs for the content he sent me, and there were only 45 videos instead of the 200+ he promised me. When I asked for an exclusive license, the correct content or a refund that's when the problems started.

Since no docs, IDs or 2257, I can't even use the content he did send me.

As for scenarios where content has not been sold and is just sitting there:

From a website, now taken down never to re-launch.
Models who do content exchanges in lieu of payment with newbs.
Newbs who think they want to get into Adult, shoot some content, then decide otherwise.
Photographers who have not yet monetized the content and decided they don't want the headaches of making a site, selling it, etc.
Husbands, now divorced, who have the rights to the content they made with their ex-wives.
Wives who got the content rights in the divorce and don't know what to do with it.

These are just a few examples.

In Brian's case we're also talking Florida so who knows what they're thinking down there. Is selling content for $1 a piece that far off from $10 a piece? What about $5 a piece? What's the exact cut off where a person XYZ is no longer able to throw out their content for any price to cash in on it?

I own over 200 exclusive scenes. I would never dream of selling the rights to them, let alone sell them for pennies on the dollar, but I can certainly understand how someone might want to do that. Selling this batch at $10 a piece with 10 licenses would net $20k this year. Selling it again next year at $5 a piece with 20 licenses would net $20k next year. Maybe the year after that is $3, maybe the year after that is $1.

Point being, own content and you can do whatever the fuck you want with it. I have bought plenty of content from dirt cheap sources, including one person spouting off in this thread. Cheap, expensive... no excuse for the buyer not getting what they bought. What's the exact cut off where a person XYZ is no longer able to throw out their content for any price to cash in on it? I own over 200 exclusive scenes. I would never dream of selling the rights to them, let alone sell them for pennies on the dollar, but I can certainly understand how someone might want to do that. Selling this batch at $10 a piece with 10 licenses would net $20k this year. Selling it again next year at $5 a piece with 20 licenses would net $20k next year. Maybe the year after that is $3, maybe the year after that is $1. Point being, own content and you can do whatever the fuck you want with it. I have bought plenty of content from dirt cheap sources, including one person spouting off in this thread. Cheap, expensive... no excuse for the buyer not getting what they bought. Blaming the buyer for getting "scammed" is in the same ballpark as blaming a cute girl for getting her ass slapped by a drunk douchebag. The money is gone. Brian doesn't have it. It's not coming back anytime soon. In business you get burned every now and then. It sucks, it's the way it is. Maybe someday Brian will try getting things back in gear but the reality is he doesn't have the money.
