Obviously nobody in this thread actually lives in Chicago. I do. Chicago is still a great city. There is a gang problem but it is only in a couple of very specific areas of Chicago that most people avoid like the plague. Sort of like you wouldn't go hang out in South Central or Skid Row in L.A. I'm not saying the problem shouldn't be solved, but people make it sound like it's some kind of war zone throughout Chicago which definitely isn't the case.

Sending in the Feds would just lead to more police killing innocent people, riots and chaos. What the federal government should do is spend money on creating jobs and hiring more local community law enforcers to get rid of the drug dealers and provide more education in those areas.

I almost hope he does send in the Feds though just so we can ridicule him on his epic fail.

Sorry but it doesn't work that way. People have constitutional rights and police can not just run around arresting people. Added to this there are legitimate ways to deal with this problem not treats of tyranny.

The potus did not send them in on his own. The state governor had to request the help. We don't live in a dictatorship where 1 man can send the troops in where ever he feels like.
