Star Wars :Rogue One Review....worst star wars ever

Omg...What a waste of 2 hours of my life.

They are rushin shit way too fast now...And need to slow down before they nerf the whole series. The movie sucked hardcore. Each character looked like they had severe anxiety , depression...What a mangled, rushed , piece of shit, junk of movie. None of the main characters had any star quality....The only good part was seeing a glimpse of Vader. Finally.

Their doing to Star Wars what they did to Matrix 2 and 3 .....Rushin sht because Hollywood's desperate for big hits.

Its not the rush. Its the times. Writing is now empty & vacuous. All that matters to disney is FX, & PC.

Even 7...kilo ren is a wimp. & they killed off the alpha male han solo. Going forward its all female/minority heros & white male villains.

They cant even write a new story. How many more times can they blow up the death star.

most big hits have been trash lately. maybe Star Trek is next.

even highly anticipated Batman vs. Superman was horrifically bad...like someone trying to touch-up a bad painting.

Well, damn, this thread bummed me out.

I've been saving this movie for a special occasion. I had heard good things; but for me, its all about the writing so :/

I wouldn't worry about it and just watch it. I thought it was good and it has 85% on Rotten Tomatoes so there are a lot of people out there who thought it was good.

It was good because it's Star Wars. But what pissed me off were shots in the preview were not in the movie! So I went in expecting one story but, due to re-shoots, got another.

Still it was a good ride. But no talk of the creepy CGI Tarkin and Princess Leia? Tarkin was ok but Leia was....creepy as fuck. Their eyes looked dead.

I loved it in the theater. It's not a movie for all people but it fills in a lot of gaps for those that know the Star Wars story.

They did good with consistency between that one and ep 4 (props, FX, costumes etc...) but damn, the characters...they are either badly written, badly played or badly casted and most of the time, all of this at the same time. And the story could have been way better.

I went to the cinema twice to watch it. And i now have it on Blu-Ray. I thought they did a good job. And it was about filling in the gap which lead to the opening of the original movie. Which i thought they did perfectly. The ending was tense. I still get goosebumps watching Vader chop his way through them all, trying to get to the Death Star plans.

I actually liked it better than Episode 7.

Let's see what Episode 8 has in store in December though.

I liked the 1st 3 back in the day, but the next 3 (as I was older) didnt interest me. I watched the latest 'proper' starwars and thought 'Mehhh' but I really enjoyed rouge 1.

I particularly liked the beachy sunny planet at the end, (Scarif) and it made me want to go on a beach holiday

As Scott McD said above, I also like that vader part - Real badass

To go back to the thread title, "worst Star Wars ever", so you reckon Rogue 1 was worse than the 3 Prequal movies that Lucas did ?? Surely not...

The Darth Vader 30 second scene near the end was better than the REST of the movie.

Plus, people often get moist when they don't get the happy resolution they expect.

It was actually fairly OK, even good at moments. It had parts that reminded me of the Notorious 12 movies about a motley crew of people. The final scene and climax had a pacific looking beach and not by coincidence, to look like a Pearl Harbor war movie. The Lucas prequels were by far worse.

Don't listen to the haters. Watch it. If you liked the very first Star Wars (A New Hope), you will love this movie.

NO SPOILERS: It's smart & fun and the film makers clearly know the target audience. Some of the visual effects were shot old-school (more plastic models, less CGI).

It looks good and sounds great. It's fast paced and still character driven.

Watch it and decide for yourself.

Well said.

I watched "Rogue 1" then put "A new hope" on right after it and it gives the movie a whole new new meaning tbh...

The general consensus is that it's a good movie, it made a lot of money because of good word of mouth...and you're a known idiot around here, so your op ed is null and void.

Watch and tell us who's right then.

It was utter, rushed trash. People are only giving it good reviews because it's a Star Wars , and Lucos flik.. use ur brain , judge for yourself. 0% star quality...Any of the clowns in this one. It was like they hired a bunch of indie guys off the street.

Just face it, plaster anything with a Star Wars name and people will watch it. Just wait for "A Star Wars story: Jar Jar Binks goes to Candy Land"

Correction: that's meth-head Bladewire's FT job. he gets paid for de-railing any thread that isn't pro-Lib. (with anal fissure videos) Mods don't seem to give a sht.

What I want to know is:

Where the fuck did that tie-fighter go to ??

In the final cut of the movie it's gone. Would have been interesting to see it get shot down or whatever right in front of her...
