After a Missouri woman had been using Johnson & Johnson baby powder on her lower regions, finding she had ovarian cancer, blamed the company for her cancer. In court, she´s been awarded 85million! Woman who blamed cancer on baby powder is awarded £85MILLION by Johnson & Johnson - Mirror Online Seems this isn´t the first big payout either!

Misleading news headline. The court awarded her the money, which will be appealed by the Johnson and Johnson. While they can afford a single payout of 85 million, this case would set precedent, and tens of thousands of new lawsuits against them would surface within a year or two.
Nonetheless I wish her success in collecting anything substantial from the court decision.

Not sure it's the same case, but baby powder aka talcum powder, is believed to cause cancer.
J&J is a top seller of products which contain talcum powder. You can laugh as much as you want, but people have been dusting themselves, and children's bottoms forever with that stuff. |
