Suit against Hillary Clinton over Benghazi deaths and emails is dismissed

A federal judge in Washington has dismissed a lawsuit alleging that Hillary Clinton's lax security surrounding her emails led to the deaths of two of the Americans killed in the 2012 attack on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya.

In a ruling Friday, U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson tossed out the wrongful death claims as well as allegations that Clinton essentially slandered the parents of the deceased by contradicting accounts the parents gave of events related to their children's deaths.

The suit was filed last August by Patricia Smith, the mother of State Department information officer Sean Smith, and Charles Woods, the father of CIA operative Tyrone Woods.

The parents sued weeks after Patricia Smith took to the stage at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland to deliver an emotional speech blasting the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee and for failing to save the four Americans who died in the Benghazi attack while she was secretary of state: Smith, Woods, CIA operative Glen Doherty and U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens.

Jackson dismissed the wrongful death portion of the suit on technical grounds after granting the State Department's motion to step in as the defendant on those claims. The Obama-appointed judge concluded Clinton used her email in the course of her official duties.

It just shows that Republicans are 100% party politics and don't give a rats ass about our country. Sooner or later we are going to be forced to end their corrupt party as the Constitution tells us to do when our govt or "part" of our govt stops representing the will of the people.

Republicans don't even represent the people who vote for them, but they've managed to dumb them down so much all they vote for is the hate the Republican party focuses on.. I'm honestly getting to the point, that I think right wingers are just too fucking stupid to vote.

I don't mind people being in disagreement with me politically and having different idea on how to govern, but when one political party and their followers main goal is to destroy our govt & push hate agenda they are no longer a viable political party and must be stopped.

IMO the Republican party is no more than a organized crime racket. They illegally gerrymandered state after state & purposely attempt to disenfranchise voters in order to win state elections. They purposely rig the system to allow corporate entities to reap massive profits of govt tax dollars and give them disproportionate voice in our govt while continually ignoring the will of the people.

They need to be ended if our country is to continue.. Democrats are far from perfect, but they are no where near as corrupted as the GOP has become.
