Kansas attempt at Reganomics crashed and burned today...
Kansas the latest failure of Trickle Down Economics the long tried and always failed right wing ideology has come to an end in Kansas after the Republican led congress revolted against the Republican governor by passing a veto proof budget to raise taxes by 600 million per year..
A few years ago Republican controlled Kansas congress & governor drastically reduced taxes claiming it would mean more taxes because of the proposed economic growth.. (ie trickle down economics) As it has done each and every time trickle down economics has been enacted, it failed miserably leaving the state is massive budget short coming. Schools were actually closing early each day because they didn't have the funding to keep them open.. Republicans in Congress finally had enough and forced a vote to raise taxes that the governor can't veto.. Republicans in Kansas broke ranks with the state's conservative governor Tuesday night, voting to raise tax rates and put an end to a series of cuts. The GOP revolt is a defeat for Gov. Sam Brownback, who overhauled the state's tax system beginning in 2012, bringing down rates and causing repeated, severe budgetary shortfalls. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...=.734769317b28 Yet Republicans in congress and Trump want to bring this same failure to the federal govt.. despite that it's failed everywhere they tried it and in Kansas too... Why are conservative brains so prone to doing the same things over and over and never learning from it?
