Who uses GeoTargeting and is it useful?
GeoTargeting, the scheduling and traffic of advertisements by geography seems to be a growing trend.
Is anyone out there using it, and is it working? I am assuming it would be good for dating sites but what other applications does GeoTargeting have in terms of the adult internet business? http://www.maxmind.com/app/city

Geotargeting's pretty important if you want to get the most from your non-US traffic. It's absolutely core to our billing business - it's inappropriate, for example, to offer US online checks to someone from Germany or SMS billing to an American. The concept is that by offering the surfer only relevant options, they're less likely to get confused and more likely to buy..
