Media Player Playback Problem

Media Player 9.0 had been working fine for me, and then yesterday, all the videos I would view through it (including ones I had made), would look VERY light..very washed out.

I hadn't changed anything with media player, and when I used a couple of other players (not as good as using media player imho), the videos played back in it's true crisp color and contrast balance.
The problem exists for all formats, wmv, avi, mpeg.

Has anyone experienced the same problem, and if so, come up with any fix? I've check my codecs, and all the ones I'm supposed to have are there. Is it possible for a codec to get corrupted?

Simply change your controls on WMP 9.

I haven't found any controls on media player 9 that controls/adjust brightness or contrast.

Which controls are you referring to?

The adjust brightness, contrast, color etc.

Click on view. Click on Enhancements. Click on Video Settings.

Kewl! I was so used to player 7.1's controls, I entirely missed that section.

Thanks much!

It's nice to know you can adjust the video, but I've read all the help file, but can't find an option to "save settings". It's frustrating having to go in and reset the video again everytime I view a video as everytime I do, it's all "washed out".

IS there a way to save the NEW video settings?
