The entire "memo" is half right. They are making it sound like they used this dossier to get a warrant. Anyone with any degree of intelligence knows this is not how it works. The FBI doesn't say "Hey, we got this dossier here and we want a warrant". Instead, the FBI gets the dossier, investigates EVERY part of it, and then goes to a judge and says "We have this document and we've investigated it, found out that most of it is true, and along with other evidence such as Page being under investigation for being a spy for Russia before he was working with Trump as well as Manafort, we believe we have a valid reason to get a FISA warrant".

And they did that three times.

If I understand correctly, each time they had a different judge too.

This is nothing more an attempt to obstruct justice.

I've never liked Hillary Clinton. Don't get me wrong, she's perfectly qualified, but I just didn't like her. In the last election it was really "anyone other than Trump".

Hillary Clinton never did anything wrong. It is just nothing illegal about a high ranking government official sending email over a private server (although obviously there should be), and nothing at all was illegal about Benghazi.

These were nothing more than political attacks designed to destroy Hillary's credibility because everyone knew she would run for election. Every time an investigation failed to turn up any evidence of any hint of a crime they just turned around and started a new investigation.

Now we are faced with a very serious investigation - accusations that a sitting US President colluded with a foreign power to win an election - and a handful of Republicans are moving heaven and earth to obstruct justice.

Every time we are turning around we are finding more crimes. We already know for a fact the Trump campaign was working directly with the Russian government to some degree; We have foreign governments telling us Trump campaign members were bragging about how they had DNC emails before anyone in the US knew the DNC was hacked. We know they were directly talking to the Russians - one of them was flying to London to meet with Russian agents. Jared was trying to set up "secret back door communications". There was meetings with "attorneys" who are clearly working for the Russian government in Trump Tower.

We have multiple charged with money laundering, most likely involving banks used by Russians to launder money.

Now we have obstruction of justice - Hope Hicks said on a phone call "Those emails will NEVER get out".

People are flipping and rolling over, and testifying against every one else and causing them to flip. We know a handful of people have flipped - Imagine how many more there are that we don't know about. Some of them were talking directly to Russian agents, working against the US Government - best case scenario for them is going to prison for the rest of their lives and never ever seeing the light of day again.

The FBI didn't say "here is a dossier so we want to get a warrant". The FBI said "We have this dossier, we've verified 75% of it, and combined with Carter Page being under investigation and other items, we have opened an investigation and would like to have a FISA warrant.

It's like Hillary and the uranium bullshit. They couldn't even get the FBI launch an investigation.

House Intel memo key point: The FBI's Andrew McCabe confirmed to the committee that no FISA warrant would have been sought from the FISA Court without the bogus Steele dossier information. --> Without the fake dossier, there would've been no FISA warrant. This was admitted under oath by McCabe. DOJ/FBI already knew dossier's source was unreliable & shouldn't be used, but filed application with it anyways. Waited until after to fire Steele. Then applied for extensions on warrant anyway.

Again, the FBI didn't walk in and say "We have this dossier" and that was it. They walked in and said "We have this dossier, most of it is true, and we have a three year investigation into Carter Page and...." god only knows what else.

In order to get a warrant, they had to have had an investigation. They had to collaborate what was in the dossier AND back it up with other outside sources.

If the FBI has something to hide, why are they saying that the omission of details is what really hurts them? If I was guilty of something I wouldn't be begging for all of the details to be relased.

Omitting certain parts of this whole business is to the benefit of the scammers trying to spin a fake narrative. Having all of the details blows their story out of the water. But as long as FOX viewers interpret this as a win for Donald Trump it doesn't matter.
