Class action lawsuit against google?
I think google has a 10 year plan to eradicate porn. They have been slowly "mainstreaming" words and phrases so that no porn appears even on popular terms like sex and porn. This list is rapidly expanding. Why are they doing this?
> can't monetize porn with adwords > send traffic to youtube, google books, and websites using adsense > puritanical assholes? Google is a virtual monopoly so this is essentially censorship and an unfair business practice. It's not an algorithmic thing, it's targeted specifically at porn related keywords. I feel like there should be some sort of class action lawsuit before most of us are out of a job. |

Looks like 90% of organic adult traffic is shifted towards big porn tubes. The pie left is so little for the rest of adult websites.
Of course, not to mention so many keywords that are no longer showing adult results. I have a very big database of adult keywords collected, since I work for many years in the industry. Now when I check some of them (big keys) it shows fully non adult. And this is not about English only, it's same in other countries as well (Germany, Italy etc.) This shift started for about 6 months, so I think it's here to stay. We must remember that Google is here to make more profits, user's experience is on 2d place. Bing is light years away in market share. Maybe it's time for surfers to realize Google is no longer relevant for adult searches. Unless there are big tubes in first searches, you will get some circle jerk content which is from same tubes (or redirection to them). I search for amateur porn and what do I get on first page? Twitter page which is a pure spam one. AMATEUR PORN (@WoWSwingers) | Twitter https://twitter.com/wowswingers There are many other results complete junk. So as a surfer, you have 3 options: go straight to tubes and search within it OR waste a lot of time searching through forest OR use different search engine. |

nobody forces users to use google...you can hardly have a monopoly on a voluntary free service...it is their platform....just like facebook and twitter do not allow porn...
google owes you nothing as far as search results go...I have no doubt that organic ranking for porn is being blocked and that they want money...its just that you have no grounds to sue them... |

Yeah, only that if no other competitor is on the market, what then? You are still free to switch, but to what? Bing is still here because of Microsoft's power, otherwise we would see just Google.
There is an illusion of choice, but in fact, they have become so big that it is impossible to create a competitor. Check the ISPs in USA as another example. Tell me, if I created a choice to Google's SE, how would you know about it? It needs huge investment in marketing and people shifting from G, which takes a shitload of time. You think Google would stay still and do nothing about it? Things were more balanced when Yahoo had a good share of market. Don't tell me Google's results are great nowadays, because they are not. Google grows every year in revenue so much. I wonder how, money doubled in market while they also have FB as competitor? No, they just swallowed more smaller players on market by promoting aggressively their own products. |

Google will always deliver the user to the most popular sites. Those are no longer paid sites. It's Google responding to the needs of its surfers. Do they care if those are paid for or free porn sites? No. They don't earn from porn so no need to promote paid. Should Google cut out all porn searches, surfers will move to Yahoo or Bing who will promote porn tubes. If you have another explanation please do so. |

So how can a tube with a name 1 time to 3 times and no text, No real connection have a top 10 ranking. yet a site with. Domain, Keywords, Text and actually about the topic rank off the top 10. Maybe it goes back to the old days of companies paying behind the doors for the listings. Kind of like the biggest mailers used to do.

What's the point of Google then? If it delivers only 4-5 tube sites in top 10 and that is where 90% of search traffic is.
It's like I am searching to buy something and all I get in Google is Amazon. What's the point in Google then? For example, I searched yesterday for a specific pro adult video. Guess what, on first page there were 4 websites with absolutely same content/design which clearly appeared from same owner. Ah and yes, it still wasn't what I was looking for. Titles were same. Tell me, what benefited me? Do I have the time to search endlessly in page 2, page 3 etc to find a good source? Not to mention page 2, page 3 were filled with unrelated results and mainstream sites. Google has come to a point, at least in adult, where there is no benefit to use it. Now I go straight to tubes/forums for specific niche content, because Google is shit. Take a look at what Google genius shows on page 2 for "fuck on the beach videos": https://imgur.com/a/ZVFdy Amazon, music lyrics etc.. Paul Markham, tell me how Google knows best |

By doing this shit, Google is cutting smaller players or cut the new ones that may come. So we are left with the big tubes, CJ tubes that have power to buy traffic and some between.
Sure, surfers love the tubes. But is that good for the industry? All the power in the hands of a few? If xhamster, xvideos will be bought by MindGeek, what will be left? If stats are true, Google gave even a bigger push of traffic in September to pornhub. Maybe they paid to Google for top spots, who knows. https://imgur.com/a/a5eC4 |

Well porn has taken the path of mainstream monopolies. A few big players that dictate the market. The choice will be just an illusion. Improvements and innovations will be slow, as there is no competition left. Americans have slow internet connections because they have no alternative. That will happen the same in all rest.

What if tomorrow Google blasts all porn because they don't like it? Will the user satisfaction still be met? They have already removed shitload of pure adult keywords. Example: search for "black man sex with a white woman" and you will see mainly non adult results. How is the user satisfaction met? First result for me is this: Married White Women Discreetly Having Sex With Black Men - YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sk_34H9EvH0 So if Youtube has great time on site, bounce rate etc., Google decided to show it first for adult key? ![]() You should check that video btw, see how fucked up Google algo is. Or maybe they made it on purpose? Think about it and stop sucking dick of Google. |

The problem is that specific keywords that clearly would return porn sites don't anymore. Google has specifically said it's algorithm doesn't target specific sites or keywords. This is demonstrably false. When people search for "porn" they want fucking porn not a news article about porn. Google has done something specific for that query so it's IMPOSSIBLE for porn sites to rank. This list has been rapidly expanding. Also if it porn sites rank they only rank for the top 10 results. Everything else is mainstream. Example: "porn videos" after page 1 it's all BS news articles. I've had one of my sites have it's brand mainstreamed and it says "porn" clearly in the brand. Somebody had to do this on purpose, it's not algorithmic. This is censorship and abuse of a monopoly.
Both "sex" and "porn" have been mainstreamed. I have seen a bunch of others I won't list here. Also ironically the more popular a pornstar is the less likely you are to find porn sites when u search for their name. |

Maybe the new generations will start to smarten up and get fed up by Google's despotic behavior.
Unfortunately 90% of users are dumb and don't realize there is more than Google around. What some webmasters above don't understand is that so many people don't even know there is another search engine besides Google. So the statement that users have a choice is bullshit. There are so many people that type in google the name of a website although they could go directly to it. I have a unique domain name, created many years ago with great traffic. Let's call it: keyword78. After many years of being first place for the search "keyword 78", which was clearly a bookmark search, now my site is nowhere. I can only rank with keyword78. Meanwhile the results for keyword 78 are completely random and unrelated. How did Google improve the searches by doing that? For me, Google is worse than ever. And looks like they still want to become even more evil ![]() |

I don't know how many searches are for adult but I imagine it is a lot. So it would be madness for Google to not show porn when the relevant terms are used. You lot are just complaining your site isn't scoring as high as it used to. Get with the program and realise Google has changed and you have to change with it. Make tours more interesting, show lots of preview videos, behind the scenes, interviews, etc. And stop relying on keywords and domain names, you've had it far too easy for too long. |

Back to the subject. Biggest site in niche: - does not trade traffic - has few backlinks - has higher time on site than it's niche competitors That site used to be smaller than windstorm and friends sites (when it traded traffic), it was struggling to survive, but since changes took off traffic wise and continues it's upward direction. So take from that what you will. |

![]() And yes, Google can afford to shit on adult results. I've seen dozens of malware websites ranking fine for many months in adult keys. When you have over 90% market share, you can shit on users perfectly fine. They aren't going to shift in millions to Bing or whatever. I've been on first page for cuckold/interracial terms for quite a while, I have no problem that I don't score higher than before, but at least show me relevant results. When I see Google Books and reddit on 2d page, then clearly these are shit results. When you put the big tubes and then Google Books in top 20 results, what am I supposed to do? Clearly big tubes cannot be outranked. |
