Very interesting interview and it's pretty spot-on. Her pay numbers may be a bit off since although she talked some about agencies, she didn't mention just how large of a chunk they take. However, most Japanese adult video agencies pretty much act as their models' concierges that go beyond simply getting them work and shuttling them to and from studios.

I'm glad this is not a sensationalized interview. She did porn, she seemed overall to be content with her decision, and gave detailed and frank answers to his questions. Good stuff.

I though to too, besides she explains many challenges the performers experience such as less money over time and more violent porn each time, the rejection of society, the shame, etc.... a very good interview overall.

Agencies take up to 50%. Some take more. That's the one part of the scene I hate dealing with. The pimps. Either agents or boyfriends, the himo, are just the worst. The guys at the agency are not so bad but the managers, the ones who rose up from street hustlers, I could really do without.

She left out the gift baskets though. Thats the one perk Japanese girls get over any other porn girls I know of. When AV stars show up on set most of the times they get some sort of gift basket. At least from the big money studios. I always thought thats a nice touch.
