the Singapore Denuclearize Summit

I wonder how it will go between these 2 guys. I do know most all of it's been decided including trump's removing or not US military from the region.

he's prolly going to throw in an invite to the WH to Un.

he should get some big NK denuke shit out of those otherwise.........

NK has agreed to denuke 3 times in the past and the longest they kept their word was 2 years.

So if they agree to denuke again, when they break their word in a couple years max, Trump will blame the Democrat POTUS that will be in office.

North Korea has a history of broken promises -- Will it happen again?

add in that trump will most likely remove US military from the region and reduce the nuclear umbrella there as a negotiating strategy.

letting a guy like Un into the WH too... not sure on that either.

I know for a "fact" that we were going to launch an early spring military attack on NK. Either NK or SK became fully aware of the pending attack or we may have leaked the info to one or both the North and South. Without actually knowing the details I suspect that the South became aware of the attack and alarmed the North and their resulting meeting took place and now as a result of that meeting Kim is meeting with the Donald.

I really have no good educated guess as to the outcome of the summit. I suspect it will be more stalling tactics by the North in an effort to out wait the Donald's term in office. But as I stated I do not have any really good educated guesses as to the outcome.

The military forces there are there to ensure that an attack by the North is an attack on America. They are but a speed bump if the North ever initiated an attack and would be overrun with ease just as happened in the first Korean conflict.

Trump is unable to make a deal for Canadians to sell milk in the US. Does anyone really think Trump can pull off North Korea?

Trump is desperate for a deal & desperate for a Nobel Peace Prize.

To Trump, the summit is all about Trump coming out with any deal possible and spinning it to be a world first & the best deal ever.

you have it completely backwards. trump's point is about selling US milk in canada without their 270% tariff.

come on.

after that then, i'm sure Un will push trump hard to reduce US military there.

even though the basics are already decided.

"The Japanese prime minister told reporters in Tokyo that "Japan and the United States, along with South Korea, have completely shared and agreed on the basic policy" for Tuesday's summit."

just one big reality tv show to chump and his cultist. There will be an agreement to more meetings . Chump will say how great everything went and declare victory while his cult followers circle jerk to their great leader

Un will thump his chest at home saying I have made us a nuclear power so that even the US president had to meet with me. NK is now a world player

Chump has showed time and time again that he doesn't keep his word or honor agreements. NK has shown that they don't keep theirs. So basicly two liars meeting so they look good to their fellow cultists. They will agree to more meetings to milk this as long as they can

NK and China have been allies for a very long time. Maybe NK will agree to decomission their internal nuclear program but still rely on China's nuclear protective umbrella.

Theoritically, they could get all the perks of agreeing to US terms while still keeping nuclear power as a chinese proxy.

If that was the case I would have thought that the North would have went that route when China became a Nuclear Power and not put their country thru, virtually forty years or so, of misery with sanctions by the US and its Allies, while trying to obtain their own Nukes.

What Kim want's is very easy acheive!!

North Korea wants two things, a guarantee of safety for the regime and a resolution of military tensions on the Peninsula. Lowering of military tensions can be achieved by a formal declaration to end the Korean War. An end to the war literally means the end to the threat of hostilities between the two nations. Even though it is a political event, there needs to be something tangible to show both sides that there is no longer a military threat. The second problem, safety for the regime, can be summarized into an economic issue revolving around sanctions.

However, lifting the sanctions on North Korea is beyond the power of what Trump can decide on himself. It will be very difficult to accomplish a complete removal of sanctions because it involves the efforts of both the United States Congress and the UN.

I hope at least we see formal declaration to end the Korean War, then again.. President Moon is not going to Singapore.
--

Can the USA stop provoking North Korea into a war? If Trump can agree to do that, rest is easy. And then is the USA willing to throw money at North Korea than China will.. because that will be the next problem.

Our dairy is taxed just the same. milk costs 3 times as much here as it does in the US because of that. It's a strange monopoly we have with dairy here, which i don't get.

It's a supply management law that the canadian government has in place to protect canadian dairy farmers. the law prevents over supply. the problem is without it, the ca dairy industry would be decimated by US milk sales. Just Wisconsin alone has more milk production than ca in total.

i understand that trudeau is backed into a corner over tariffs due to this, but i disagree with how he's playing trump about it.

here's a pretty solid article on the dairy sitch that I've used to help me understand it all better, it's a ca article

The funny thing is, Trump is the last to meet with North Korea. Kim Jong Un has already met with Russia, China & South Korea.

Kim Jong Un has already signed treaties with South Korea, what Trump says or does today has no impact on the peace deals already achieved by South Korean president Moon and North Koreas Kim Jong Un.

I wonder if he could blurt something out or tweet something otherwise? he blew up the G7 that way. well, trudeau did handle it wrong with the double speak speech backstabbing trump after trump left, trump withdrew agreeing to the G7 final statement in reaction.

could something like that happen in Singapore?
