A deal will be made. I'm certain of that now. In fact, the deal is >95% done now. Remember, trump's not a details guy, he's said his negotiating tactic here is about "attitude". That means the detail guys on both sides have been ironing out a deal that trump and Un will already know about and have agreed to. USA can't leave the table without a deal.

It won't be a CVID deal. I bet it will be a deal very much in principle and over a very extended length of time. Involving tit for tat steps but no real denuclearization anytime soon.

I guess the good news is trump has walked back his fire and fury rhetoric and tensions between the 2 will be reduced.

People on "my side" have been saying the same thing for months. Some claim the deal was made back in December and they point to coincidental things to prove it - although I don't approve of this method of thinking - so I wait and see.

Hopefully North and South can officially end the war, that's a win without anything more than paper shuffle. Sanctions going and denuclearization maybe another time.

There's no winning though, Sanctions come off, then the first country in will be China and I can't see South Korea liking a Chinese dominated and owned North Korea.... which incidentally was one of the reasons for the war starting in the first place, except now not only does China have political clout, they've economic.

There has been no planning, there is no plan. Trump and Bolton have physically done nothing. Trump rushed to agree to this meeting, then back tracked.

Trump has yet to make any deal with anyone about anything. Unless it involves giving away our tax dollars to businesses.

And convince his minions that he did the right thing by putting off the denuclearization part of the deal to be "incremental"

An official end to the war is important here, to the USA too. But I think anything less than a CVID deal is less than ideal. Otherwise, it's just another deal with NK they've broken before.

maybe trump's 9 dimensional chess moves = minds blown. I'll give him credit if he negotiates anything close to an ideal denuke deal.
