Vehicles are already increasing in price which means delivery's will increase, that will increase the price of almost every item you buy including food.

The impact of cheap imports from China far outweigh any issues with materials costs. The materials costs will resolve, but without tariffs the import issue will not.

WHR stock would have been down today one way or the other, and I am sure they are looking at finessing their numbers into some corporate gibs.

How much access do you think Chinese consumers have to foreign products? Do you think they occupy any shelf space in China except under exotic circumstances? Do you think companies like WHR sell any finished product in China?

I'm not an American and I don't really have a dog in this fight. But I have spent a lot of time in China and their market is closed like a drum by both unfair law and prejudice to foreign products. The trade imbalance is outrageous and unsustainable and has to be corrected. Not going to be pretty but it has to be done.

I think you are wrong on this. Trump has proven time and time again he will break deals, even deals he claimed he would support or deals he made himself. It's the same logic Robbie used to blame Obama for not being able to make deals with Republicans in Congress.. You can't make deals with a unwilling party.

You have to have 2 willing parties who will stand by their deals once made to make a deal. Trump is not willing to make honest deals in the 1st place and what he has made he reneges on with in weeks on multiple occasions.

I think it's not fair to blame other world leaders for Trump's inconsistency and constant twitter tantrums.. As a result the rest of the world is moving on with out the US. Trump will cause harm to our country for years to come just like Reagan did..

i'm not wrong because the G7 , as just one example, proves me right. according to CA news, we had a deal with ca, trump caved on the sunset clause, which was the sticky point for ca, then trump left for AF1. trudeau then went on live tv and told canadians they won't be pushed around by trump, etc. trump saw that live on AF1 and then refused to sign the G7 exit statement.

I'm not trying to pigeon hole you into a corner btw, just saying I think there was a lot more going into that meeting on the trade deal, than what was said just before or right after. I think for the most part world leaders do not look at Trump as someone they can deal with because he clearly breaks deals he's made and what he asks for is usually unrealistic. Trump has caused that problem for himself and now we get to suffer because of it due to a Republican controlled Congress of do nothings that are unwilling to uphold their Constitutional duties to hold the WH in check.

I appreciate that. While I think other leaders are accountable for making deals, I understand it's not always possible to close a deal. I get that. Regardless, leaders should try harder. Something else along this line too, trump catches heat for bailing out on the Paris Climate Accord and I agree that he should be held accountable for bailing out. But euro leaders are also bailing out on the Accord, they just aren't as assholey about that as trump is. Germany won't meet its PCA promises and their leaders decided to just give up on them. Canada is also bailing out on their promises via trudeau's goal of becoming a major oil producer. these same leaders point at trump for bailing on the deal.
