Bluray samsung player and updating firmware
I'm pretty pissed off, have never had problems with my player and I never had the need to update the firmware. I eventually did and now it's on strike and throws out any bluray disc you feed it with. It's funny but samsung encourage owners to update firmware and so do the bluray industry. But in the event of malfunctioning players after firmware updates there's not really much you can do on your own.
Neither does the player accept a firmware downgrade according to samsung tech forum, just suck it up. It also seems that I'm not alone in this, I've sent an email to support to see what their policy says in cases like this. I had a well functioning bluray player and the day I decided to upgrade firmware it just broke lol. I'd like to hear about your own experiences with updating firmware on samsung bluray players?

it's funny cause I still use my PS3 that I bought in 06' and I do firmware updates a few times a year and I've never had an issue with it. in 14' I bought a 3d tv and the ps3 plays 3d great.

After research, you could try loading a different firmware . I did that on a Samsung to get it zone free for blue-ray
